Madness. It was sheer madness. That was the only way to describe the McLaggen house. Tony was crying because Finny had taken a toy that Tony claimed was his and Finny wasn't giving it back because he claimed it was his first.

While on the other side of the room Lutalo and Pallavi were fighting over which would be cool to fly, a fighter jet or a broom. And that argument ended also ended in tears, with Pallavi punching Talo because he told her that she wouldn't be able to fly a broom anyways because she wasn't magic just like he wasn't.

And in the center of it all was Jia Li, sitting on the couch reading, like none of it was happening. Tristan, figuring this was the safest place to go, went to join her on the couch, glancing around the room at all the chaos. "It was so loud, how can you read?" he asked sitting down.

"You're a older brother now, right? This is what you have to look forward to. You better home Aunt Gleny has the sense to stop at just two." Jia Li asked glancing from her book over to her cousin. "Besides, this isn't loud. Just wait until Cormac, Lulu and Rowan get here. That's when it gets loud."
