[PRIVATE] How can Dorcas Meadowes be dead? How? I just... I just SAW her and Derek the other day, she's just. She's an Auror, of course I know that she's in a dangerous line of business and her job is to catch and fight against people that support He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named but... of all the people to die I can honestly say that I did not expect Dorcas. She just seemed - she was just...

I should know now that nothing is ever to be expected, especially now.

I don't know how this came to be, but I had naïvely believed that I wouldn't be directly affected by You-Know-Who, except for the occasion injuries from Derek - being a Hit Wizard and all. However, these past months have proved me wrong, quite wrong. The tattoos, Gavin attacked, and now this. What's any young person about to enter their last years of schooling to do in this kind of environment?

I am afraid and I do not know what to do. For now, I'll have to put my own distress and fright aside and tend to Derek. I can't even imagine... He loved her so much.

At least, I'll try and do my best, although I do not know how well my best will be for him. [/PRIVATE]

	I'm not actively trying to seek him out, as I realize he needs his space, etc., but being that I haven't seen or heard from him since a few days before the news came, I just thought I'd check with the family. I'm terribly sorry if you're being inundated by people checking on him, but... You haven't got word from him, have you? (Reply to this)(Thread)

Every single time somebody strikes something out around me, I automatically assume that they are talking about Derek. I think that while he does need his space, my parents, Darien, and I are growing increasingly concerned about his absence.

I was just about to ask you if you had seen him. Darien and I had just visited his flat, intent on seeing if he had done something stupid in his grief, but it's empty, as in, I believe that he has not been there for the last few days.

I really hope that he hadn't done anything stupid.

You are his family, I'm sure they all must be worried sick about him as well. I'm sure he hasn't done anything stupid--or at least, I hope he hasn't. I know he must be in serious grieving right now, but I really do wish he'd have the sense to at least contact his family of his whereabouts. ~~Unless something happened to him too-- sorry, no, don't mean to scare you, I'm sure it didn't~~

If you do hear anything, do be sure to let me know, will you? Merlin knows your brother can't take care of himself worth anything; it'll be better if someone at least has an idea of where he is.

	I wish the very same; I cannot even begin to fathom what he is going through right now, but all the same, I do wish that he had least given us - his friends and family - the briefest of hints as to where he is currently.
