There's plenty of choices. The place has the spartan look of a bachelor pad in which the bachelor does not live a lot. The only decorations, such as they are, are the eclectically stocked bookshelves - scifi, classic lit, psychology journals, hard science journals, historical fiction... and a nice hand-carved chess set.
The furniture looks comfortable enough, but obviously hasn't seen a lot of use, all but one of the feaux-leather bound chairs still having the 'new' sheen to them.
"Chicken Kotlety and salad. The prep work for the chicken is mostly done, but still plenty to do. Hope you like Russian."
