1. Avery got to know and like Andy, having gone out for a beer or two with the younger half-god. He also learned to like Titan, whom Zoey had a soft spot for.
2. Eventually, Avery learns of Jenny and discusses with Andy why he hasn't married the woman, or asked her to move in with him. Andy cites several reasons, but it's a funny thing to watch one lawyer try to bullshit another. Hint: It doesn't work.
3. Avery talks to Sydney over the course of a few months then contacts Jenny on the sly to ask her to come to Andy's surprise birthday party.
4. Jenny, Sydney and Avery strike up a fun conversation and have a good time at the party. Syd and Avery both agree that their first instinct is the right one and invite Andy and Jenny to dinner the following night.
5. That evening, Sydney informs Andy that Scion is opening a new branch in London, and that the job of running that branch is his, if he wants it. Though he'll miss his friends, it doesn't take Andy long to say yes. Of course, they ask Marlow to join them.
Bonus: Andy and Jenny announce their engagement soon after.
