"Tell me and I shall provide it for you." Eli says, smiling at her. There's something in her tone that tells him they aren't having the same conversation anymore, but he doesn't know /what/ is giving him that idea.
He's not going to read her mind, either. She surprises him, which he likes. Surprises are hard for Eli to come by, so he takes them where he can.
