Well he's gotten used to these guys being part of Gotham's crimefighting nightlife, and the occasional teamup made him realize that they weren't bad to work with, especially this one. His brother was always a little harder to deal with.
"Sure," Robin decides to go along with this for once, even if he's not going to admit that he's hungry after a long patrol too. "Let's go get something to eat. There's a 24h diner with some icecream too not too far." What the hell, it was late (well early) enough that they could call this patrol a wrap. And it wasn't like he didn't need to eat anyway, hell, he was building a working relationship with people who'd help him fight crime. He could argue it was a business decision if the old man ever questioned it.
