Vernique had her namesake drink as she waited at the bar for Buck to get there, having arrived fashionably early herself. Yes, when she did it, it was fashionable.

	There's really no question that he knows next to nothing about perfume. Nonetheless, he listens attentively, giving all signs that he's at least following most of the conversation while he eats, and lets her go on about something she's clearly passionate about.
