Superman followed Marvel's lead, flying after him and landing nearby. He was slightly surprised by Marvel's offer, and was initially reluctant to concede. "I'm just having a little trouble re-adjusting to being home..." he said, carefully.
He had inherited the stoic silence of his Jonathan Kent, when it came to his own doubts. Jonathan closely guarded his fears and worries, believing they were his burdens to bear- and that he should only show his wife and son love and affection.
Clark had seen the toll it had taken on his father, but he also appreciated why Jonathan did what he did. And while both Clark was in touch with their feelings, and did a better job of communicating them to friends and family alike- Clark had silently sworn he would emulate his father, when it came to his own doubts and fears.
Even now, Captain Marvel's face was creased with innocent concern. "We re-formed the Justice League recently, but some of the tensions that made us break up were lingering" he said. "Its nothing more than growing pains, though. And I always feel better when I'm out doing good, with heroes of your caliber" he said, putting a reassuring hand on Captain Marvel's shoulder.
