testing @ 06:51 pm

Current Mood: curious

The first "proper" post from my C++/Qt-based LJ client. A pre-alpha version, so far it gets the data (moods and icons) from the servers and stores them in the database, allows to select mood and icons through the GUI, and to post the contents of the post window simultaneously to the selected servers.

Of course it all was already working in my PHP script, but now it looks more professional and clean (in particular, when crossposting, now it's not possible to select the mood which does not exist on some of the selected servers). Also, the main purpose of the project is brushing on my Qt experience, in order to move to the more complicated stuff later - and this is going just fine.

There's still a lot of work to do with the interface... and then I also want to add the option of reading and editing old posts.

Hehe lol, crossposting clients are good for stalking :) Anyway, I'm not really using scribbld other than for testing - I have a crapload of private posts in here...

I probably won't hang out much here (or inksome or iziblog, just like I hardly hang out on IJ), but will crosspost here, anyway, at least in reference to Xpostulate, so users here can find and use it.
