not to discount that the subject needs to be changed, but i don't think it's unreasonable of people to want this game to have some kind of realism, otherwise my girl who makes $30k per episode would be trying to outbid whoever's currently winning lefors

but the thing is, there are people in this game, my char included, who make $250k per episode. and NO ONE knows that. believe me. so why discount their net worth?

true, but i do think that people need to be realistic about what their guy or girl makes and not just go "he/she is a celeb, they can drop whatever amount they want at any time!" and i don't think it's wrong for people to want that to be part of the game. someone whose credits are based on elton john is not going to have the same net worth as someone whose credits are based on background dancer number 2 on glee. extreme example, but you see what i'm getting at.

i do see what you're saying, however don't you think that at some point the constant 'i'm so much better than this person who didn't realize exactly what their char makes per episode, etc' thing should just be moot? i feel like i'm a bit of an optimist about rp, just because it's like everywhere else doesn't work/sucks/goes to shit/dies/whatever, so when i find something that actually is fun and is working, i hate to see it turn into everyone judging each other ooc. that's just my thing. i know people should expect that to be a part of the game, and certainly people do, myself included because i'm in a weird position rn, but i am one of those people who really likes to see everyone to see the forest for the trees. the point being this is a game, and games are more fun when we loosen up a little and just smile at whoever is next to us.

omg i sound like a hippie

and by *that to be part of the game* i meant the researching and being realistic part, not the judging
