my girl had such a relatively normal childhood/life that i don't know if i could ever write a creative/heartwrenching narrative haha :(

not all narratives have to be heartwrecking, anon! i'd love to read some happier ones

that's true! i love everything that everyone's written so far, and they're all so beautifully written, but it'd be nice to read something not as intense, i suppose

i was thinking maybe writing something in the present and not so much backstory, even if it's just a random day in my girl's life

my narrative wasn't heartwrenching, but i felt comfortable with it so i say go for it.

maybe not heartwrenching, but something semi-definitive that shaped who she is as a person, if that makes sense? but you're right, i just needed to write something and go with the writing flow

exactly. i mean mine was about the difficulties of being a stubborn child basically you'll figure out what will best reveal something new about your kid.

my narrative was sad to show a piece of my char people don't normally understand but she'll have happy ones at some point.

and that really is what narratives are all about, to truly tell the story. i'm still pretty much a newbie and was thinking about going back and reading as many past narratives as i can

My guy is such a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, I use the narratives to show that there's more to him than that. His next one might not be AS sad as the first, but it won't be quite happy.

this is pretty much exactly why i wrote mine. it shows a very significant part of him that he'd rather die than have most people know about, his public face is very different than his private one

Exactly. Just because he acts all devil-may-care doesn't mean he doesn't have his own demons and issues that he's dealing with.
