i was in the same boat as you, anon and i ultimately withdrew. when i was applying for grad school they asked me why and i told them i couldn't handle the course load along with my other classes and i thought i made an informative decision. they agreed.

i'm leaning toward withdrawing but graduate school interviews are definitely part of why i'm hesitating. the class isn't in my intended field of study though, will that help or hurt me?

it could do both, considering it shows that you're willing to branch out. but it also doesn't hurt you because it isn't in your field of study. honestly though one "w" isn't going to do much so long as all the rest of the grades are in order.
