now that chester has pushed her away and their issue involved their future, how does she see her future shaping up?

well alright, i think for emma her future always involved someone else. for so long she had chester and this imagination of what a future should be like from all her siblings and her family and that's what she wanted. in her future, she always imagined herself relying and loving someone else and having a family and doing all the right steps. she never imagined it by herself and i think that's one of the problems and why she is where she is right now in her boy situation. right now, she sees her future as probably being a old cat/dog lady who sits with her mom and watches jeopardy every week because she couldn't imagine dealing with anymore emotions than she already has. she's never seen the independent side of it and she worries this will make her look like a failure. as for professionally, she'll continue doing what she's doing until she loses her excitement for it.

so when you say someone else, does that mean chester or does that mean even when she was with him it was seeing it with someone else because of his lack of commitment?

that was chester. but even as a kid, she imagined herself having a husband or another half because she grew up with the normal family and she knew they were happy and that's just how she thought it should be. it was more instituted as she grew up and than she found herself rarely single and the fact she lasted so long with chester, she really did think she would marry him and they'd have the whole she-bang until her father passed away and it made things really difficult on her.

so marriage has basically always been super important to her?

Which relationship appeals to her more, a wild passionate one, or a quiet calm one?

quiet calm one. ironically, i think she can find passion in that.

is she truly starting to recover, or is she just kind of putting a happy face on so people wouldn't be sad for/worried about her?

it's definitely a happy face mask. it's just how she's always dealt with anything that's happened to her, she has this mentality of putting things aside and dealing with them later. right now she's acting normal and avoiding sticky situations and since she really doesn't have anyone to just let it all out to, it's all about the happy face.

is there gonna be a point where she WILL let it out to someone, or seek someone out to talk? or is she gonna be too stubborn and/or guarded to do that?

a part of her REALLY wants someone to just come up to her and push it out of her because right now everyone is giving the 'are you okay? it'll be fine' type of thing and while she tried to reach out, she sort of didn't get the response she was looking for and now is sort of just in a defeatist bottled up state of emotion. i don't think she's difficult, but she definitely needs to be talked into giving up her emotions.

my char was definitely one of those "i'll be okay" person, but it's really only because she didn't know if emma WANTED to be pushed or not. there's def gonna be more small talk in maybe the next couple days, but she'd definitely want to draw it out of her but still tread carefully so as to not risk emma bottling up completely. that, or she'll just STUFF HER WITH ICE CREAM SUNDAES UNTIL SHE SUCCUMBS~

HAHA OH GOD SHE FELT SO BAD GOING TO HER BECAUSE SHE WAS OBVIOUSLY SO UNCOMFORTABLE. emma was like... makes this quick. i also heard gabe talked to her too so it's just like... this whole mess. it's hard for emma in her head sometimes so she gets all these thoughts and she gets mixed up and there are a lot of times where she crashes and burns from that. but i feel like if someone talked her through some of this shit a lot of lightbulbs are going to go off in her head.

it's not because of the guys because she feels like they're both great guys and so alike in a lot of ways as well as extremely different. i think even right now, she probably loves both of them in two completely different ways. but i think right now in the situation she is in, she really doesn't feel like deserves either of them. or that both of them deserve someone better, so she wouldn't pick either. in chester's case because she feels like he doesn't want her and probably should be with someone else he does want and in feldstein's because she really, really feels he deserves someone so much better than herself and her own mixed up thoughts.

why doesn't she feel like they don't deserve HER?

because emma knows these are great guys. she knows chester beyond the face he pulls every day and she's seen him behind closed doors and she knows him and she knows he's something amazing. despite the commitment problems and their fights, they were both really good to each other and i think that's why they lasted as long as they did. and gabe is definitely that guy who will take care of a lady and he has ALWAYS put emma first. he's totally something emma has never dealt with and he's an unbelievably nice guy. basically she feels like she's let down both and technically, she has by now.

what would it take for her to get back with chester?

well very plainly put, she's not asking for a ring, but definitely a promise of something in the future. she never even got that which is what made it so difficult in the first place. because she knows if he actually is able to say it to her and promise her that it would happen, she knows it'd be the truth because he had never been able to say it before. they'd also have to deal with a lot of obstacles of how they're both feeling right now and everything else, because it's obvious they can't go back to how they were before. it'd have to be a different level of a relationship and how they are, so. hopefully that answers the question...
