i guess he was riding his bicycle yesterday afternoon and he fell, landed on his back really, really hard. when our other brother got back to the apartment they share, he was on the couch in a lot of pain so jon took him to the er. after a ct scan, and an x-ray they found an air pocket trapped between his lungs and his sternum. and if he had fallen, tripped, or anything else it would have killed him. so he's in the er, admitted, but waiting for a surgeon to come and talk to him. they think he might have internal injuries from the fall or that he might have punctured his lung.

oh damn :( i had to work with someone last semester that had punctured a lung/developed an air pocket and that's some shitty stuff, but as long as he's getting help he'll be okay. don't worry too much, lady <3 i know that's pretty much impossible but it's wasteful to worry over something you have no control over.

It's just a little too close to home for me right now. Our mom just passed away in November because of something kind of, but not quite, similar. So I guess you could say I'm a little skittish about the whole thing. The waiting game is horrible. I actually left work on my lunch break this morning because I was shaking so bad and couldn't stop.

I hope so. We don't need anymore issues right now. The last year has been enough. But thank you. :( At this point I just want some news so I know a little more of what's going on and know if I need to go home to California or not.
