Really, the way IJ has been, it could cooperate this week and not next week, or not this week and work next week. With the spammers and the DoDS attacks (I think those are the right initials), who knows. It's been working like a charm for me since last night, but who knows. We'll know more about the stability of IJ in a week, that's for sure, as well as give more people time to move to other servers, even if only temporarily, so they don't miss out on anything.

To be honest, and I don't want my bitter betty showing but... Squeaky is being cheap. And he's not upgrading shit when he should. It's kind of been a running theme. He always upgrades at the last possible minute and tries to pull a sale out of his ass. But then no one wants to pay. I used to have paid accounts and I'm to the point of 'I'd like to see this server make it two months with stability before I give you my hard earned five bucks again.' LMAO So I'm cheap too but, fdaslkjfda anyway SOAP BOX TIME IS OVER. I think the best thing is to wait it out.

	FUCKING THIS. it's like he suddenly wants to rake in all this cash but... for what, because he's obviously not spending it on the things he SHOULD be spending it on. i think if he'd at least admit he has no idea what the fuck is going on at any given point in time i'd be able to recover at least some timy amount of respect for him, but neh (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

well it's like i don't think he's making a fortune off of ij by any stretch of the imagination. at all. however i do believe with rename tokens there is a nice revenue being created, as well as with paid time. and all of the ads. the ads definitely generate a lot of revenue. so i think he's making enough to run the site, but i also think he maybe has anticipated the site making him rich instead of thinking with a business mind. it's like when you run your own business you really have to accept that you pay yourself last not first because then your business suffers

I'm not going to agree or disagree on what you're saying. I, for one, have absolutely no idea what is all involved or needed when it comes to hosting a website such as IJ. I don't know how much servers or whatever else is required cost or how hard it is to get them/set them up. I know he upgraded after the exodus from GJ since there were suddenly WAY more people on the site than had historically been. I haven't been buying any kind of paid accounts or rename tokens in a while myself, but that's because I've been saving up for various things to do with my RL (hello, NYC trip and fancy, beautiful new DSLR camera). And yeah, like you, I won't be buying any until I know more about the stabilization of the site.

I would, but I don't have the big fancy camera yet. It's $1,300 LOL But it's professional grade and would allow me to get into more professional-type photography. For now, I will make due with my fancy-but-not-as-fancy camera that I've already got.

And yeah, idk. The sale gimmick could be because maybe people aren't buying as much as they claim to be or bitch about? So when it does come to things needing to be upgraded, users haven't been contributing as much as one would think so they've got to try to make up for it with cheap sales.

	you sound so much like my brother right now. except unlike him you buy your own stuff. he just begs for things for christmas and resells them on ebay or to his friends months later for something to upgrade to. oh i definitely can agree with that. i think the rename/trade craze has even really died down a lot (Reply to this)(Parent)
