i hate how defensive people get in here the second anybody says something that's not entirely positive. the anon above doesn't deserve to be made to feel like THEY are doing everything wrong when they're having trouble finding deeper sls. i'm of the belief that you are largely in charge of creating your own fun in a comm, but there does come a point when it feels like you're swimming against the tide and people favor other characters over yours. i've been there, at times with ~click even, and it sucks.

maybe i didn't read it all, but i saw a lot of positive suggestions about how other people escaped this feeling. it's not to say that they will work for everyone but they might work for that character too

i don't think the people who have suggestions should be made to feel like all of their suggestions are worthless either, just because this person is upset

i didn't read the tread up there, but maybe they interpreted it wrong? sometimes the way i type things isn't meant to come out bitchy, but it sort of is? it's obviously just a misunderstanding if you didn't mean things bitchy.

i know. i probably shouldn't have called them on seeming like they've checked out already, but i wasn't trying to be a bitch, i was trying to just help them realize that if they think positively it will come. thinking negatively tremendously increases your chances of failure, especially if it's a situation where you're thinking about giving up

i totally get what you're saying and i agree 100%. i think they are upset about things, and maybe your comment just rubbed them the wrong way. personally, it seemed like they had already checked out, but no one likes to be told that.

this. you can be as proactive as the day is long but sometimes a game just isn't a good fit.

if someone thinks a game isn't a good fit then they don't they just put a fork in it? it's sort of counterproductive, then, to make the people who have found a good fit feel like they're being attacked in a way, because someone is talking about how hard of a time they're having. it makes them feel like they're not giving that person's characters enough attention. that's why people go on the defensive.

i don't think the anon above was attacking anybody at all, not even subtly. they were whining a little, sure, but definitely not attacking. you need to back down a little if you felt attacked by someone saying they aren't 100% happy here.

no, what i'm saying is, that's why people go on the defensive though. like that's how it effects them. intentionally or not, that's what happens. i was just trying to clarify. no worries
