i like it a lot but i don't think it's perfect. i have quite a few issues with it, and i'm sure other people do too, but i don't think vocalizing them would be any more productive than being a kiss ass.

then why do we spend all our time ass kissing in here if it's no more productive than saying very mildly critical things about the game?

what benefit is it to put things down? so that people can be afraid to post in fear that others are going to trash their characters and say they are just being "mildly critical"? where do you draw the line? how much is too much?

how could saying that you wish you had more solid sls and that you're trying hard but not getting any solid sls possibly be construed as crossing the line from mildly critical into bashing?

well, hasn't your point been made though?

i wasn't the one making that post, i was just appalled at how everyone jumped all over them.

one person got frustrated because their comment was considered bitchy when they said they didn't mean it that way. i don't think that means everyone jumped all over them, anon. they got lots of helpful advice that they chose to say wouldn't work.

i definitely felt like there was a sense among the commenters that, well, if you aren't happy here, of course it's your fault! you just aren't trying hard enough! and the fact is that this isn't going to be the game for everyone and that's okay.

that was your interpretation, and like i said, just because you interpret something one way, doesn't mean that's the way it was delivered. it's your interpretation, not the other person's fault.

i didn't realize you were talking about complaining about not getting lines. i don't think there is anything that says you can't talk about that. you did in the last post and people gave you suggestions. one comment that you took as bitchy caused you to go over the deep end and say you can't talk about anything mildly critical.

because positivity boosts confidence. and i personally don't feel like any of the positive comments i give people and say directly about others/their narratives/everything, is an ass kissing move. i stand behind everything i say because i mean it genuinely. and positivity as a whole makes everyone feel better.

but constructive criticism, when taken in the right way, can make people ultimately feel better too. i just don't see why everyone jumps all over anybody who dares to say that they aren't completely, totally, one hundred percent satisfied with ~click.

you don't control how everyone takes the constructive criticism though

true, but how could anyone possibly, possibly be offended or hurt or upset by somebody saying they are not entirely happy here? i just don't get it, sincerely. i get why we don't bash people in here and i'm not for that at all, but generally saying you don't feel happy or excited or included or whatever shouldn't be condemned.

because this is supposed to be a positive journal? people have very different views of criticism and something that is very mild to you could be the worst to them.

"the worst" could be hearing that someone else doesn't feel included?
