	Awww, poor anon! This is actually my second DSLR camera (I'm looking to get into the photography business as a 'side job', I suppose you could say). My first was an Olympus PEN EPL-1 and I LOVED it. It's a great starter camera and it runs abouuut $499 now? A lot, I know, but it's an excellent camera. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	i think there was a deal for a nikon including a lens for $699 around black friday last year and i completely missed out on it. one day, anon, one day. i'm gonna look into that olympus, though! (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Black Friday deals scare me. Not the deals themselves, but the thought that an old lady might run me over with her electronic cart if I reach for something she was after. But that wasn't a bad deal, really. The Olympus, I know, comes with a lens. They don't even offer kits without that lens, so you're good to go from the start.

	lmao i'm a black friday vet and have gone at least the past five or six years, so that old lady probably IS me, hahah. the reviews for the olympus is making it sound really tempting, though. thanks for the suggestion! (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Ahahaha! I'm usually the person staying at home sleeping in while you guys are out dashing about like crazy people. And I know, right? I'm a review FANATIC. Like, I'll read professional reviews as well as (a lot of) customer reviews before I buy something, since I want to know how it works for 'real' people. The commercial for the PEN got me interested, but hearing what other people who had one had to say sold the deal for me. I mean, I've got this fancy Canon, but I'm hesitant to think about getting rid of the Olympus!
