because the opinion being expressed in the post isn't real. i think it's fair to say that most of us don't agree with racism, a lot of us wouldn't agree with making light of racism, but expressing offense over a fictional opinion is just bizarre to me. how do you read any old literature or watch films rated above like...PG?

i define line crossing in this case as having your character who wouldn't share that view comment to say how you feel, or having your character refuse to interact with the other one anymore if they have no reason to be offended. i think it should be okay to say that something makes us uncomfortable or that a certain character's opinion or brand of humor makes us uncomfortable.
