there is a line and it was crossed when we started shit talking the writer as a human being and stopped talking about how our characters were responding ic.

exactly. if you didn't agree with her post, fine. she was keeping very well in line with the comic her character is based on, and i thought did a fine job with her delivery in her blog as well as responding to her retaliation. i've heard worse with other comics and their blatant racial commentary from all ends, so why is everyone getting so up in arms?

right, that is exactly what i consider the issue at hand, too. i thought it was okay that it was brought up, initially, because it was very, "WHOA, look what tracey said." TRACEY, THE CHARACTER. the point it became NOT okay was when people started being rude and shit talking the WRITER themselves.

not the op but i don't think anyone agrees with the idea that the writer should have been attacked in here or ooc for that matter anyway.

i'm with you, it really does seem like most people clearly kept ic/ooc, both in distinguishing tracey/the writer AND their ooc opinions/their characters'. it was maybe one or two people who ruined it.
