i posted one of those "she wants him to come swoop her up" comments and i can assure you it had nothing to do with money. it wasn't about popularity but because she has a giant crush on this particular guy and wanted to be won by him. she knows it's for a good cause and isn't looking at it as a popularity contest at all because she bid on quite a lot of people just for the fun of it.

you shouldn't be defending yourself. those comments sounded exactly like what they were. someone wanting someone else to bid on them. not for money, because of feelings.
