	i hate feeling old and like my life is closing in on me and doors are slamming shut left and right. 24 isn't even old-old and i'm starting to feel like i'm worthless. (Reply to this)(Thread)

oh anon, i know what you mean. i'm 26 and i never would have guessed that at my age i'd be single, working a boring office job i hate and struggling to make ends meet. i had all these ideas that i would be married by now and working in a career that's right for me and the longer i stay single and broke the less feasible that dream seems. i really do believe there's a reason for everything though, even if it seems like nothing is going your way.

not sure if i'm overstepping boundaries here, but are you sure you aren't depressed or have some sort of anxiety disorder or maybe a combination? if you feel like this all the time then you should try to find someone to talk to, anon. you are young and have tons of time to figure life out. and think of it this way - would you rather be 24 and trying to figure things out and be single, or 40 and divorced and trying to change careers because you committed too soon? i'm not saying that's what happens to everyone who marries young and chooses a career early, but taking your time isn't a bad thing.
