it does, but it's doubly expensive regardless. anon does corporate insurance for a living.

i'm only going to need it for about six weeks, so it's not a huge deal, but it's annoying to pay for it oop like that.

if you're going from one group policy to another group policy then you probably won't have to worry about having a gap unless you think there is a reason you'll need to see the doctor or you have an illness.

possibly outing myself, but i live in massachusetts where it's illegal to have a gap or not be covered. so i pretty much have to enroll in cobra for those weeks. :(
