I think from Leah, she learned how to be a "grown up." Since Leah is older, she learned from her how to stop acting like a child and living in an imaginary world. She always looked up to her, so when she got older and started going out, Emily put away her imagination/grew up so she could go with her. In theory, at least.

From Nathan, she has learned how to be playful and to have light moments because with her, things are serious about 70% of the time.
