he genuinely believes that any good part of him is almost entirely due to the efforts of leah and emily. they're both very kind and loving, but also i imagine they had their hellish days when they were younger, so his patience is probably a result of growing up with so many women and feeling like he was on his own around them. it's weird, but i feel like there's a lot of each sibling in the other, so it's hard to point out which one has rubbed off on him in what way. but, i think that going the extra mile for people he loves without it being any kind of big deal at all, he would identify with leah, if only because he's experiencing it at the present time, living in her house while he deals with the divorce. in emily, i think he would associate a dedication to his family and loved ones, though perhaps less so with his parents right now, he can definitely feel it with his sisters. he doesn't want to lose them, or lose touch with them. there's a very powerful connection he has to the two of them and i believe that he would blame emily for that one. this is way long, i'm sorry. and i'm not even sure if i'm making sense at this point, hah
