i think gen sounds like naya. she has a little bit of like... a valley girl twang? i guess? i don't know if that's an accurate explanation but it's really apparent to me when i listen to naya in interviews, and i think it's kinda perfect for gen. also, naya uses this low, sarcastic voice for santana on glee sometimes and i imagine that's how she delivers her lines on parks and rec.
