[Private] This is absolutely terrifying. [/Private]

[Mary] How are you feeling? It was such a long trek to this room that I feel as if a day's gone by. [/Mary]

I hope everyone has a happy and healthy New Year! Any resolutions to be made?

I resolve to teach you what a firearm is and how to show proper emotion when one is being held because you just happen to be showing up on the front doorstep so that you don't die on me

I resolve to try and keep my sanity more than three or four months this year!

[Gabriel] I'm good. Can't believe they put you in the far guest bedroom-- Just tired.

Dad said...oh, how did he word it...I believe he said that you've got a good set of bollocks on you, not flinching when he pulled out the shotgun. [/Gabriel]

That's so vulgar- Why should I have flinched?

Er--well.

If he had decided to actually shoot the gun, he could have killed you? It's not--exact like the forbidden curses are, but...urgh, I don't even know how to explain this properly. At the very least, you could have been injured. Which is why I took the gun away from him I don't know why mum didn't hide them before she left to pick us up, but--

I'm really sorry. This isn't exactly turning out the way I imagined. But mum really likes you! And Manda and Mal, too! Dad just has a tendency to be--overprotective.

Do I need to find some smelling salts for you, good Lord

Nope, no lying down. I am bringing you apple pie. Because mum just pulled it from the oven and apple pie will make you feel better and you can't say no because the pregnant woman said so

Your father had a weapon out ready to attack me! Apple pie cannot fix that! AND HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW-----JUST IMAGINE---

APPLE PIE FIXES EVERYTHING. YOU WILL EAT IT AND YOU WILL LIKE IT, GABRIEL LAWRENCE (HAH I REMEMBERED YOUR MIDDLE NAME, HOW 'BOUT THEM APPLES!) CORNER!

He's a big ponce. Honestly, don't take anything he does seriously. It was for the intimidation factor, and obviously it didn't work because you didn't know what it was! I'm really angry that he did it and he knows it, and he won't be doing it again if he knows what's good for him.

I'm adding ice cream to your plate, because you seem like you need it.

I resolve to not often find myself in burning buildings. Ooh, wait---to write something USEFUL for the Prophet, or-------Hmm, hold on

I can't decide.

I never keep my resolutions, anyway. I decided to break the quaint tradition of making them on the 31st evening and breaking them the next morning.

Aha, well! Your resolution was to not make one?

How are you feeling, by the way?

Yes! Well, no. Well--yes, it was. But if I say that was my resolution, I'll find a vice I decide must need working on, and then I'll have broke my resolution to not resolve anything.

Oh, the, er--head's still a bit woozy as you can see, given by all this rambling I am doing, but I find many people argue that that's always been a problem with me. Ohgod

What about you? since that was a pretty nasty blow to the hea

I suppose I will be using my standard excuse for not thinking up of how to improve my life with New Year's resolutions, which is that I am simply perfect. And as it is such a cross to bear already, it would be pointless to try and improve upon myself.

But that sort of thinking does do wonders for one's self-esteem.

It is rather hard to think of anything you would need improving upon, Octavia.

I smugly refrain from comment, aside from happy tidings for a new year and express relief that you don't appear to have suffered terribly from that disaster at the Prophet offices.
