Delilah + Henry

Hazel Charlotte | Slytherin | PB: Bridget Mendler

Henry had always known that Delilah was trouble. From the first day they met, he knew that if he wanted to keep his nose clean, to stay away from Delilah Spinnet. Did he listen to his usually correct conscience? Of course not, not when she rolled her skirt up those extra few inches. He couldn't. They dated on and off through their last few years of Hogwarts, finally deciding to call it quits after they both graduated and she decided to tour Europe as a professional dueler. Henry did not have the ego to deal with the worry of the other men she would be surrounded by, so he was fine with this decision. Relatively fine.

A few years passed and Delilah was a big name on the circuit that needed to keep her business in check. That's how Henry got back into the picture. She begged and pleaded that he become her agent, and once again he told himself that all she was going to do was cause him trouble. And, once again, he was right. There were no short skirts to blame, just a serious desire to make sure that Delilah did not royally screw up all the endorsements that were coming her way.

They became quite a business team, and it was after one night of celebrating a rather lucrative deal that caused old sparks to fly. Celebrating and too much wine. They shacked up in a conference room of the hotel she was staying at for a tournament (couldn't even make it up two flights) and were woken by the cleaning staff's broom handles poking into Henry's back. Utterly humiliated, Henry declared that they could no longer socialize if they were going to do business. Fine! was shouted at him quite loudly and often, but Delilah kept her distance for a few weeks, which Henry had been sadly surprised by. Her boycott of him ended with Delilah bursting into his office, looking ready to rip off his head, but instead got sick in his rubbish bin.

Henry figured it out rather quickly.

Hazel Charlotte Wadcock was born in the spring, just in time for quidditch, said Uncle Seth. The little girl managed to wrap all of the men in her life around her little fingers, from her father to uncles. She's loud like her mother, but her loudness usually covers up a clever plan that's being laid out right in front of your eyes. Hazel was sorted into Slytherin, much to her mother and uncles' despair. Henry was always quite aware that his daughter would follow in his footsteps, and she graduated with buckets full of NEWTs, going on to work in the Department of Magical Games and Sports, a right proper spot for this very competitive young lady.
