Maggie + Drystan

Tadhg Bryan | Gryffindor | William Moseley

Maggie had been sure she was going to marry Drystan Fawcett from the first time they stepped on the pitch together. He’d taken a bludger to the back for her, and instead of letting her know he’d just saved her life, he scolded her for not paying enough attention. She felt like his equal and her simmering crush on him grew at an exponential rate. One evening after practice she invaded his personal shower space and suffice it to say, he didn’t object.

Their personalities have much to clash over. While Maggie portrayed the face of an angel to the media, her stubbornness and temper irritated Drystan’s stoic personalities. Her shouts and foot stomping received long, hard gazes or a night of being completely ignored. They broke up, they hooked up, they banned each other from their lives, and interrupted dates with other people that the other may have stupidly thought they were allowed to go on. After a year of back and forth, Odette MacFarlan locked them in the Magpies’ manager’s office and told them to either “MAKE A BABY OR KILL EACH OTHER!”

And that’s how Tadhg came along!

Drystan did the proper and noble thing and proposed to Maggie right away, and she accepted, but she refused to get married until after the baby arrived. With all her big talk, she still had worries that he only wanted to get married because of the pregnancy and not her. Which may have been the case, at first, but the home life they created seemed to agree with the two and both their worries about their impending nuptials disappeared.

Tadhg (Ty, or Tim) takes after his father with his seriousness and orge-like tendencies. A scowly teenager, he found his place on the quidditch pitch like his parents. The Sorting Hat struggled between all four houses, but found that the stubbornness both of his parents had passed down to him made him a bull-headed Gryffindor. This setting allowed Tadhg to work alongside students who would not back down to him and instead of glowering, found it refreshing. He found himself drawn to charms and he ended up having quite the knack for it. Professor Flitwick spotted potential in the boy and insisted he join the dueling club. Tadhg found a way to release his suppressed energy and he entered the dueling circuit upon graduation.

Of course, Maggie and Drystan are front and center for each match, and it’s taken some getting used to by both his parents to not storm the stage and threaten to blow the bits off of Tadhg’s opponents. But, they’ve gotten better (a private sky box at each event has worked wonders).
