my fingers are twitchy!
Ship any of my characters, past or present, with one of your characters that my character has never shipped with and perhaps you've wondered what would could have been. Even if it means one or both of our characters needs to switch which team their batting for. If you put a slash in it, I'll write it.

"You're a bloody twig."

"And you're a dense log, what of it?"

Emmeline twirled her beater's bat in her hand. Honestly, the Harpies played with only females, and their beater weighed less than her. If you knew how to work the angles, then you could definitely beat brute force, but Ludo didn't believe it.

"The cup tally shows that Ravenclaw must be doing something right," Emmeline said with a raise of her eyebrows, sitting down on the bench. She wasn't going to fight with him like she knew every other female in the school did, but she wasn't going to let him believe he'd convinced her otherwise; she could definitely play with the big boys.

Ludo straddled the bench beside her, leaning forward with a smirk on his face. He had that look in his eyes, and Emmeline found it disturbingly hard to ignore.

"Hufflepuff's got a lot going on for itself too, you know..."

Emmeline's eyes widened; was he hitting on her? She shouldn't put it past him, and she really shouldn't be leaning toward him, but---eh, sometimes you needed to test some theories out for yourself.

James let out a sigh, "Do you get it now?"

Iris frowned and shook her head, face heating up. She had no idea her Transfiguration tutor would be the James Potter! Oh, what was Professor McGonagall thinking? She couldn't concentrate on this horrid subject if he was sitting right there! Merlin's beard, this was absolutely ridiculous.

"Right, well---you're thinking too much."

"How can I think too much about a subject I don't understand at all! If anything, thinking too much is a good thing because then something will work out when apparently I'm a ruddy squib when it comes to Transfig----"

Her eyes widened greatly as she realized (yes, it took her a good five seconds to realize) James was kissing her. He pulled back a moment later.

"Right, now that we've got that out of the way," he flipped open the book, Iris still staring dumbly at him, "Let's get back to work--"

Clara/Moses

Clara sat in the Leaky Cauldron, waiting for Maddox to show up. Honestly, for someone so responsible, this bloke was rather late. It was only the summer after they'd finished Hogwarts, but Clara was more than determined to keep in touch with her friends. Joceline wouldn't be a problem of course, and she and Cordie got along fine, so. It was Maddox's turn to hang out with her. Because it was such a treat.

"Can I take your order?"

She looked up at the waiter, who looked remarkably familiar---oh, wait, this was Maddox's little brother, which one...was...Mo..ses? Moses. Her eyebrows went up, and she smiled prettily up at the boy.

"You work here over the summer?"

Moses rolled his eyes and nodded, looking around the empty dining area before he slid into the seat beside Clara. She scooted over, but with not much room to move in the booth, Moses was rather close.

"Yeah, but don't tell my mum---I haven't gotten a tip all day so I'm kind of saying, you know. Screw this."

"Well that's rude," she put her hand up, "not on your part, but, you know. The not giving you a tip thing."

She went to her purse and pulled out a few sickles, shaking them in her closed fist to tease Moses. "If your service is good, then maybe I'll be your first."

His eyes widened and it took Clara a few second to realize the innuendo that she'd inadvertently created---oh, teenage boys were so stupid, and she honestly hadn't meant it like that, and---and---

"Well, I've got no problem with that," Moses interrupted, a cheeky grin on his face. Oy, he was getting close, ah--well, he was cute, but---

"Moses---out!" Maddox's hand pulled his brother by the collar of his jumper out of the booth before things could advance any further (not that they'd--oy---) and he shooed his brother away, but not before Moses sent Clara a wink over his shoulder.

Merlin.
