Grayson, Fiona, and Rian Alexei

After their brief, interesting relationship, Fiona and Grayson cooled off---mostly because he'd been betrothed to another woman. Fiona had never had a great self-esteem, so she wasn't necessarily mad at Grayson for it, more like jealous that she wasn't up to his family's standards. So--life went on, Tom went back to Ireland because of some family issues, and Fiona went about at Gringotts for a few months, minding her own business and avoiding the goblin's rather obvious sexual innuendos (gross).

One day, while stamping and stamping and stamping parchment, a clearing of the throat was heard and Fiona's eyes shot up to see Grayson standing in front of her. He said a short hello and immediately announced that there wasn't going to be a wedding, and that she should go to dinner with him. He'd always flustered her into silence, so she just nodded and met him that night. They managed to fall back into the routine they had before the engagement, and after a few months, one evening Grayson turned to Fiona and said,

"I could make you very happy, you know." She looked over and smiled, and nodding with an, "I do."

They could only be married, because even though she wasn't rich, she was pureblooded, and his family managed to get past the Hufflepuff part---it may have helped that she and Amery managed to hold quite the conversations at dinner, leaving Grayson highly amused.

Rian Alexei was born July 25th, 1981, just over a year into the marriage. He was sorted into Ravenclaw, having gained his father's sharp tact, but managing to avoid the---slightly not so nice tendencies. While Fiona seemed to lead a blind eye to Grayson's extracurricular activities, Rian knew from a young age that his father was one of Voldemort's faithful followers. He didn't find anything wrong with it, however, and believed that everyone had a right to chose a side in the war. Of course, when it started up again, he feared that his father would get caught and found himself making friends with the Slytherins of his year, to find out information.

Unfortunately, Grayson was killed in the Battle of Hogwarts, and Fiona and Rian had to live with the added grief of being revealed as a 'death eater' family. Rian took the persecution hard for a bit, but found himself in the ministry where his family had once been a prominent name. He's a magical law student now, and hopes to work on the war trials, if he can be allowed.

Noah, Lyssandra, and Leonard Martin

So, two single parents raising their kids in a boring planetarium, Noah and Lyssandra ended up creating a sort of family before anything sexual occurred between them. Trips to the park, the playground, lunches and diaper changes, it just seemed like they had fallen into a routine without realizing it. When Waldo completely flaked on Lyssandra, Noah felt the need to step in, and they ended up making a rather good team. Terry and Solaris grew to be good friends, and it wasn't until the two were five that Noah and Lyssandra hooked up.

Maybe he still had a few relationship issues to get over.

Anyway, Lyssandra put the idea of marriage on the table, simply because it had the best legal situation for the two of them. It got Noah to agree, but then on the eve of their courtroom wedding, Noah proposed with a ring and said he at least wanted to do that right.

Leonard was a surprise, which...isn't surprising for this pair. He came two years after the impromptu wedding, and Terry and Solaris found no qualms about playing big brother and sister. They even insisted on giving him a tour around the planetarium, which lead to some confusing as they didn't dare carry a baby up the stairs, so. Leonard ended up in Gryfindor, giving thee family three different houses in competition when it came to quidditch, House cup, grades, etc. But it's fun, and Leonard grows up to own his own record label---even being kind enough to give Solaris' father a reinvention, though he keeps a very strong grip on Quirke's career.

Antonin, Cecilia, and Liliya Antoinette

Antonin and Cecilia have never been quiet about their relationship, sexual or platonic, even when they were both in committed (well--) situations. Even throughout her entire time with Evan, when out of earshot of the man, Antonin would mutter and leer, and Cecilia would bat her eyes and bend and it was just their way of communicating. Highly inappropriate, but if there was no touching, there was no problem.

He was there when Evan died, he was in the same building, he was the one that appeared on Cecilia's doorstep with the news that Evan had been killed and---she fell into his arms, sobbing, hysterical. Antonin had never been one to comfort, to care, but seeing Cecilia this torn apart actually pulled at his heart and he kissed the side of her head, then her forehead, then her cheeks; it was the only way he could make her feel better. Cecilia seemed to react positively to the attention, and soon the gentle kissing turned into fierce snogging and---Antonin hated that he had to duck out of the bedroom early in the morning, but the aurors were hot on his trail, and he couldn't risk getting caught.

He did, though, nearly a month later and was imprisoned in Azkaban.

Two weeks after Antonin was sentenced, Cecilia realized she was pregnant.

Liliya Antoinette Rosier was born September 3rd, 1981, and is spoiled beyond all belief. Not only by Cecilia and her family, oh no---the fact that this darling was the last thing the world had of Evan was simply too much for his friends and family, and Liliya grew up thinking that the world was owed to her. This of course put her into Slytherin, where she found no reason to study, as she already had suitors lining up for her by her fourth year. Yes, Liliya's life was easy and perfect, and she would have it no other way, thank you very much.

Emmeline, Brad, and Laura Alise

Everyone on the planet is quite aware of Emmeline Vance's relationship issues, and it wasn't until after the war was over that she finally managed to find something solid and stable---of course, it just had to be with the boy she cheated on and whose heart she had broken, but sometimes it took people a rather long time to figure things out.

With most of their friends married and having their own families, Emmeline and Brad found themselves spending more and more time together, to reminisce, to simply avoid the sickeningly sweet happiness that was going around in their circle of people. But, eventually, Brad found some courage and kissed her again--hey, he'd already been through this once and survived, if it didn't work this time, at least he tried!

This time, it worked, and it wasn't long before they were engaged (okay, it was barely a month--they had been at this for a long time, already!) and Laura arrived in early January of 1983, on the fifth.

Laura's a happy child, going about her business with a smile on her face. She was always asking questions, and in unusual ways that confused even her Ravenclaw parents. Emmeline believes that with the combined effort of her and Brad making sure that Laura's childhood wasn't as messed up as either of theirs was the reason behind her being Sorted into Hufflepuff (okay, so she still held some stereotypes against the other Houses). Laura went through Hogwarts with relative ease, always willing to learn and using that natural instinct to take her into the field of research, and she often sends long and winding postcards from the exotic places she visits (to unravel the secrets of lost civilizations, of course!)

Dirk, Bertha, and Frances Darrig

Bertha has a penchant for cornering cute younger men in the corridors of the ministry. Sometimes it leads to trouble, but sticking with the nice Hufflepuff boys is the way to go. Dirk couldn't exactly say no to Bertha's suggestion of drinks, because there really wasn't any sort of bad part of the idea.

Well, okay, just the fact that Dirk doesn't drink. But that was okay! They had a fun time talking about goblins and her former dance days, and before they knew it, it was two in the morning and the bartender was kicking them out. They said their goodbyes, but not before Dirk offered to do this again. And again, annnnd again. It was nearly a year before they moved in together, and six months after successfully not driving each other insane (and actually getting along brilliantly!), Dirk proposed, and in another six months they were married.

And in another nine months Frances joined them, because really, no one knows how to use contraceptives in the wizarding world.

Frances is a Gryffindor, a few years under Harry Potter and all that mess. He likes to tell people that he's friends with Harry, and that makes him quite popular with the other boys in his year. He won't dare try out for the quidditch team, though, because then people would wonder why Harry doesn't put one of his best friends on the team. Instead he enjoys ancient runes, and finds charms insanely fun, so a good mix for Frances would be to go to Egypt as a cursebreaker.

Giada, Derek, and Emerson Garrett-Anthony

To get straight to the point, Derek seduced Giada. She's still not quite sure how it happened, though there was definitely a Christmas party and alcohol involved (and when you were as naive and innocent as Giada, one glass of wine sent you over the edge of intoxication). It had something to do with Derek finding out that Giada was a virgin, and he said it was cute and she said it wasn't and he said oh really and she agreed and--

They didn't actually have sex that night. They snogged, rather hard and long actually, but Derek's too much of a gentleman to shag an intoxicated friend. An intoxicated friend he would like to point out, wore very sexy knickers. Surprisingly sexy, actually, with this whole virgin thing going on. Derek continued to tease Giada, mostly by calling her The Virgin Gia whenever possible (except when Sam knocked him in the back of the head, which was quite often) and found himself rather intrigued with how---well. Well, not to sound like a total nutter, Derek was just interested in her social life to see who would be the one to---okay, there's no way for that to not sound weird, but Giada enjoyed the attention, and the fact that Derek was muggleborn gave them the connection of music and--

--well, yes, he got Giada disowned (even in alternate realities she manages to annoy her parents!), but it was worth it! Derek immediately realized that if Giada was willing to give up her relationship with her parents for him, that there was no one else for him, and he proposed the minute she stopped crying over her parents.

And she agreed, yes, and Giada was suddenly not The Virgin anymore. Derek wins!

They were married quickly, what with the war and his precarious hitwizard status, and it seemed like God wanted some pay back for all those virgin jokes, because their first son was conceived the night of the wedding. Emerson Garrett-Anthony was born February 2nd, 1981, and is quite the silly Ravenclaw. The boy's got such a long name because Giada and Derek couldn't decide on which they liked better and figured that it at least sounded nice all together (plus, it gave him the initials E.G.A.D., and that's just brilliant--)

Emerson loves to run around and jump and play and sing and dance, and when he was little, he was basically a tornado of hyperness. Hey--not really a bad thing when your parents can keep up with you! His wild personality got him on the quidditch team, and with his quick thinking and always looking for something to do, Emerson swiftly rose up the ranks and became captain of the quidditch team, moving on to join the Pride his first year out of Hogwarts. They've already named some moves after him, and Derek has no problem in reminding people that his boy is a pro quidditch player. All. The. Time.

OH. MY. GOD. Okay, so I was laughing and thinking this was one of the best AU baby stories ever, but then I got to EGAD AND I AM ALMOST LITERALLY CRYING WITH LAUGHTER, CRISTINA. YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW. <3 A.MAY.ZINGG.

James, Marlie, and Maxwell Randall

James and Marlie kind of got swept up into that whole 'first love' thing. Their six year was a heated whirl wind of snogging, 'I love yous' and lots and lots of sex. It went like that through the summer of their seventh year, and after James became head boy, there was really no questioning where Marlie would be sleeping! Her roommates never bothered to look for her in their dorm, and just banged on James' door to find their friend.

In December, James was kidnapped along with Frank Longbottom for nearly a month and when he returned---first he didn't want anything to do with anyone, but Marlie broke through his walls and in a ball of emotion, James proposed they get married. In Marlie's hysteria she agreed, and the two kept silently engaged until the end of the year, where it would make more sense to announce their plans.

Max didn't wait for the nuptials. He was conceived around N.E.W.T. time, and joined the world in early March. James and Marlie didn't have a lot of time to spend with their son, because four months later during a random visit to her family, Marlene was killed with the entire McKinnon clan. James was devastated, but knew that the fight had to continue. The Marauders are extremely helpful with the baby.

Now...I don't know how James doesn't end up dying, so I will end up ignoring that part and go onto Max!

He's really smart! Always fiddling with things and asking questions, kind of more interested in making things work than actually using them. Though testing out his experiments are rather fun, and it's not his fault he just naturally tries ULTRA stink bombs on Slytherins. It's in his blood!

Giada, Caradoc, and Phillip Alexander

Let me say this first: Giada and Caradoc do like each other. They do! She tends to make him smile a lot even if he doesn't get as excited about things as she does, and Giada does take comfort in knowing that he is fiercely protective of her. They've been together since they were six, when Caradoc grabbed her at a party and told her she was his girlfriend. Giada had no reason to disagree, so she told all of her friends that she was Caradoc Dearborn's girlfriend. And this went especially well when her mother enthusiastically supported this little 'game' they played.

Being that they were, well, children, going to Hogwarts as boyfriend and girlfriend didn't seem like an odd thing at all. Well, they were all the other first years could talk about, and while this went to Caradoc's head a bit, Giada simply went along with it and held his hand at lunch, sat with him during study hours and all of the good, girlfriend stuff to do. By third year, hormones began raging, and Giada---well, fortunately for her, she was one of the first to develop in their year, and of course Caradoc Dearborn had the prettiest girlfriend in all of the school, how could it be possible any other way?

Now, this is where the story deviates from their actual story. At the end of her third year, Giada's brother Patrick was in a terrible accident in Italy, and it kept her out of school for a few weeks, and over the summer she was in Italy a lot. Now, Caradoc was a Slytherin who did what he pleased, but Giada was too much of a friend to simply dump while her family was going through a crisis. She did return back to Hogwarts in fourth year, and they resumed dating and...it kind of just continued that way. His persuasion skills were still completely off the charts, so by the end of fifth year they'd had sex, and it just seemed like things would just continue that way.

Marriage was brought up by her parents, which might have helped slightly in Caradoc's case. The fact that they weren't pushing it on the two, and just offering the idea let the two figure things out for themselves. Caradoc wasn't dumb--he saw how involved in the dark side of the war his friends were becoming, and if he married Giada, that would give him some sort of shield against having to join the ranks of the death eaters. He didn't care about the war, and would rather avoid it than have to choose sides.

Plus, he really didn't know much else than Giada, and she was comfortable. Giada had never experienced the muggle world, as staying with Caradoc throughout school caused her to befriend the Slytherin girls, who had put the idea of a betrothed in her head--well, for as long as she could remember. She had never not thought that she wasn't going to marry Caradoc, and maybe if she sat around and looked at their situation she might think they were too young, but--they'd been together for so long, why not just do what everyone expected?

They were married shortly after school, and his parents immediately began pushing for an heir. This was nerve wracking to Giada, being a mother, but it was something she was told she'd always have to do, so she took on the duty and--well, Caradoc didn't exactly mind all the extra bedroom attention. Phillip was born almost two years into their marriage and, suffice it to say, he's a rather good looking kid.

Oh, that's not all about him, but I just wanted to point that out about Phillip! He's rather smart, a bit quiet about it but is easy to point out other's mistakes. Then they'll just look at him like, whoa--he spoke? But Phillip simply knows what he wants and how he wants it; what's the need in being loud and outrageous if you can get the same results? He's a Slytherin, of course (unlike other children Caradoc might have in other universes), and would rather spend time with the Slytherins not neck deep in death eater business.

Gabriel, Franzy, and Adrianna Christine

We pick off after their first 'date' and while Gabriel was trying to be the good guy in the whole Mary situation, things simply didn't work out between the two. Mary became fine with the idea of being a single mum, and Gabriel knew he'd be there for support and for the child throughout his life, but---they just weren't a match in the love area. He started talking to Franzy on a friendly basis, and was there for her when her boyfriend decided that he could not (would not) commit to an engagement. Franzy put up a tough face, but Gabriel knew she was hurting. So, he asked her on a date.

He liked her quick tone, and with Gabriel being such a gentleman, Franzy found it a bit hard to be as demanding as she had been in the past. He was being nice and not even hinting at wanting sex. Huh. They dated for nearly a year before Gabriel brought the idea of marriage up, and at first Franzy turned her nose up at the thought---no, no, she was too young and...well...Gabriel was rather nice...

Oh, what the hell. He'd probably get her a gorgeous rock, anyway.

They were married in the spring, and Adrianna joined their family almost a year later. She's a rather pretty girl, and knows it, but likes to play smart. She was sorted into Ravenclaw like her father, and is glad for that---she can spend time with the Slytherin girls, but when they get to be too much she can retire back into her books. Adrianna doesn't have many boyfriends, but she has many admirers, and would like to keep it that way. She believes she shouldn't settle, and is sure she'll simply know when the right man comes along. In the mean time, she's going into journalism like her father, but she wants to be on the WWN.

Joey, Phoebe, and Nathan Hippocrates

Firstly, they did not get together on the quidditch pitch. Nor did they start snogging randomly one night during rounds. No, actually, Joey and Phoebe didn't get together until a charity quidditch even some odd years after they both graduated from Hogwarts.

Because, really, what's better than a cross-rival romance?

Phoebe had been drafted to the Pride, and Joey to the Cannons, and while the Cannons really didn't have any rivals, Phoebe and Joey's friendship off the pitch created quite the swirl of media rumors. Were they trading secrets or swapping spit?? Phoebe hated all of the attention and when Joey began to sort of, well, enjoy it, she grew insanely irritated by this---which ended up being jealousy that he was happy with the fact that he was popular and women were throwing themselves at him.

Honestly.

They started a rather loud row about it at a quidditch Christmas Eve charity event, Phoebe storming out and frantically looking for her cloak. Joey chased after her, there was a struggle over the bright red velvet cloak, and soon they found themselves snogging against a pile of scarves and hats they'd knocked off the shelves. This little tussle ended up in a midnight Christmas engagement, because they'd known each other for so long and--why wait?

They were married after the season (where both teams failed to make the playoffs, much for the sake of their relationship), and Nathan joined them almost three years later (hey! She can't just go popping out babies when she's a pro quidditch player! Think about her career!).

Apparently, being raised by two of the non-angsty Ravenclaws leads to a rather happy Hufflepuff. Nathan is, of course, on the quidditch team, and while Phoebe pushed for him to be a chaser, and Joey for a beater, he went a totally different route and became a seeker. Whiiiich neither of his parents really had any good advice on, so they couldn't send him long rambling owls with advice---Nathan's real reason for picking up the position.

He doesn't go pro, though, and Nathan follows his passion and goes into animal healing (his mother's Presidency of the Care of Magical Creatures club did come in handy!) He hopes to travel to help more exotic animals, but right now he's working on injured puffskeins and owls.
