RPWRIMO final stretch - MEME! :]
Here's how it happens. You give me a couple, any couple (so long as I've played one of the characters) and I'll write a drabble around 100 words about them in reply to your comment. This can be ANY couple (anything.. shippiness or cuteness or whatever), and it can have been a game-canon couple, or something completely off-the-wall. I do back-history, I do future, and I do AU crack. If you want a particular theme or rating, let me know. The ratings will be anywhere from G to uh, well I suppose NC-17 but I dunno if I can get that in 100ish words.

/ = Shippyness and "and" means ordinary interaction

Noah/Odette

His head knocked against the door of the bathroom for the hundredth time. Noah slid his head to rest his cheek against the wood of the door and stared down at Terry, who was watching the display with the utmost interest.

"Mum's being ridiculous," he explained, and was startled by a quick slam from the other side of the door.

"SHUT UP, NOAH," Odette's shrilly voice came from inside the bathroom, and Terry covered his mouth to hold back his laughter. Noah let out a wince of a grin at his son before knocking on the door once again. This was not supposed to take this long, he knew for a fact. "This stupid thing isn't working!"

"You have been in there for nearly an hour," Noah said, leaning his shoulder against the door, "My sister says it's supposed to only take five minutes, annnnd we are going on..."

"Fifty-three!" Terry quipped, and Noah nodded enthusiastically.

"You heard the boy," he said, dropping his head back.

"Well it's broken," Odette claimed, though there was a sudden rattling that sounded suspiciously like potion vials coming from behind the door. Noah's brow furrowed and he pressed his nose against the wood once more.

"If it's not doing anything, then that means---you know, negative." Noah felt a quick pain in his chest at the thought, but took a breath and gathered himself. "C'mon, Odette, it's not a big deal."

"It's not---not doing anything!"

Her words made Noah's throat go dry, and he looked over to Terry to see if the boy had understood.

"That's a double negative, Mummy," Terry explained, kicking his feet off the edge of the bed. Noah wondered if his son was spending too much time with Noël, but then the boy let out a disgustingly loud burp and then wondered if Martin should be allowed to baby sit, ever again.

"Double negatives mean a positive," Terry continued, rambling off some grammar lessons he must have picked up. "So if it's not not doing anything....that means it is and----ooh Mummy's got a baby in there!"

The door to the bathroom opened slowly, and Odette avoided Noah's eyes as she stared over at Terry. Tears were in her eyes and on her cheeks, and she handed Noah the pink sparking vial and dropped down onto the bed next to Terry. Gaping at the sparks, Noah took a few moments to react.

"Well---I guess. It works."
