Fred found himself in an unusual situation: he actually didn't want to work today. Instead he found himself roaming the institute, until he picked up a familiar scent. "Sasha," he whispered to himself. Perhaps she would like to do something.

"Shiar DNA is more genetically stable than those of humanity. From what research I've done on them, mutation is much rarer in their species. With this principle in mind I thought that perhaps it could be used to help stabilize human mutation, or at least make a mutant's abilities less volatile. Instead..theoretically if I were to apply this concept it could lead to a decrease in mutation among humans to the point..where mutants may very well stop being born at all."
