Kage: *it will be a very long ten minutes before he finally lifts a hand to rest of Maru's back. His engine will purr to life. But it will take a long time.*

Maru: *he'll be fine, he'll be fine, he just needs to rest and reboot, he'll be fine, give him time – the mantra plays over and over in his mind as he softly rocks his brother's body, oblivious to how much time is passing*

*The rest of the team is watching and grieving. Deckard is /just/ about to stir and drag himself over to Maru to gently try to get him to face reality...when he sees Kage's hand twitch and move*

Maru: *stressed engine /sputters/ at the touch, stops and looks down as Kage's engine begins to purr . . . /buzztrill/ as he HUGS his brother to him - softly* Kagerou . . . Kagerou, can you hear me?

	Kage: doesn't sleep, and will give his brother a little smile whenever he wakes and meets Kage's gaze. In the nightmares he hugs his brother close, mitmuring soft encouragements to him, assurances that all is well, that /he/ is well and will be here for Maru. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Maru: the nightmares are the worst part – he failed, he'll murmur apologies, and how desperately he misses his brother, wonders what his brother would do, sometimes feels just /lost/…but when he wakes, he just gives his brother a groggy /grin/ and drifts back off…though he may cling a little harder for a moment until he's back out (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

*They'll spend the first half of the day sleeping. When ready they'll move to clean up camp and travel. They'll cnamp again that night and reach Zero's ship the following night. Kage will stay close to Maru, always within reach, but he'll also mingle with the others, taking the opportunity tonsoftly chat with each. They 'll be able to see where Maru picked up some of his habits.*

*And both of them will be teased for it. The whole team easily enfolds Kage with the possible, mild exception of GM who's keeping a bit of distance from both ninja-bots. But if questioned or called on it, he'll brush it off – they're seeing things. As they've been going, also, Deckard will have insisted on doing some hunting and gathering of edibles for Yuuta and Mira. ….and Sola? Does she plan to stay, or…??*

Kage: *takes the teasing in stride. Ribbing at his brother if Maru starts to get flustered at all. He won't press himself on GM, either. He'll attempt to engage a bit, but if GM doesn't seem to want to he won't press...and won't take it personally, he's observed GM from the first day Maru met him, he know what kind of bot GM is*
Sola: *is /so/ torn!! She doesn't really have family aside from Nolan and Keo, but this is her home, but it's been /so/ wonderful to habe people she could talk /with/ and not just /af/. Ooooh! What to do, what to do?!*

GM: *part of it is his trust issues, but…there's more – Kage would have observed that, of the whole team, it's Maru that GM's worked with the most closely . . . they share desks so they chat a lot, and in battle, they team up more often than not, especially once the rest of the team have taken their combined forms – frankly, there's a part of GM that's suddenly afraid of being replaced and "losing" Maru, being left the odd-man-out once more…but…he won't hold it against Kage, not his fault, and he knows how much Kage means to Maru, he really happy for the two of them…so…he won't push Kage away…though he won't be the one to approach either…*
*The team won't pressure her – they can't make the decision for her, though they /do/ let her know she's more than welcome to join them, Keo and Nolan too*
