Kage: *as far as he's concerned, at this moment, the others don't exist. It must be kind of amazing to the original four to see him like this, /clinging/ to his brother, face tucked to his shoulder. He doesn't care what they think, he doesn't want to face them yet. A small part of him is afraid to face them. He doesn't hate them, he's watched them all for too long to hate them in any way. Honestly he's come to love all of them for them and not just for their love and acceptance of Maru. But he doesn't want to face them. He's scared. What if they reject him because of what they remember of him? ...he knows he made a /horrible/ first impression on the four Braves and their Boss...*

Maru: *clinging for a long moment - it's a miracle, after all these years, suddenly his lost brother is here* .........h-how...?

Kage: I don't know...this place, I think.

Maru: No, I mean...how did you find us? Have you been here all along?

Kage: *soft hufflaugh* I never left you. I'm so proud of you, of all you've done.

Maru: *goes /still/ at that...then tucks his face in more* ...K-kagerou... *that means more to him than he would have ever even guessed*

Kage: *HUGS, just happy to be /able/ to hug Maru again.*

Maru: *CLINGING, voice muffled in his shoulder* Damn, I've missed you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I failed you.

Kage: *shakes his head* You didn't fail me. It's /not/ your fault.

Maru: I should have saved you.  I should have found you sooner.  Dammit, it's what I was /built/ for!  *information-gathering, infiltration...*

Kage: And I wasn't? It was /not/ your fault. Never your fault. I'm sorry you've hurt over this.

Maru: *soft keen escapes him – that first and greatest failure has hurt and /driven/ him his whole life*

*The others shift, feeling they shouldn't be here, this is so personal…*

Maru: K-kagerou . . . Kagerou, wait! *hurries after him*

Kage: *slows so Maru can /easily/ catch up, but doesn't stop yet. Even though he's "leaving" the mists he's retaining his solidity.*
*up ahead the group will spot a towering, skeletal figure. It has far more bones than necessary, and in odd shapes that make them look like decoration, each piece making up a larger, intricate design. Red lights in the eye sockets shift to study the group coming towards him, but he doesn't otherwise move. He leans on a massive scythe, like what many imagine when thinking of a grim reaper.*
Kage: *slows a little more when he realizes this Fire J-Decker-sized being is likely the Reaper.*

Maru: */grips/ Kage's shoulder, stopping him* Kagerou! *voice tight – /please/…don't make him lose you again…*
*The others are openly gaping . . . and bracing for a fight if only on habit*

Kage: *stops and turns to Maru* I have to. Either I pass him and live or you leave here and I go back to being a ghost, or worse, I'm stuck here....or he destroys me. But I have to try... *he throws his arms around Maru and /HUGS/ like he's never going to let go!!!!*
Yuuta: *still freaked of "ghosts", and a giant grim reaper? He's /sheet/ white... but ready to stand with his team if they need to fight. Even give the commands, though the guys don't /actually/ need them.*
Mira: *just...gaping*
Sola: *unbothered and unafraid of the giant skeleton.*

Reaper: There is nothing you can do. The living can only commune with the dead. *glowing red gaze shifts to Kage.* The dead must come to me alone if they seek life.
Kage: *flinches and peeks back and up at the great figure. He can't make himself let go of Maru.*. you can do this, you /can/, you've lived over twenty years without me, if that is how it must be then you /will/ live without me again. You can do this. *softly, only Maru will hear* I need your strength brother. I can't face this without knowing you're with me.
