Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I love being a Mummy. Everything up to this point has been worth it in my eyes.

[Gabriel] I haven't brought it up yet because Michael is my first priority at this point. But back in October, when I quit at the Prophet and everything, I had sent letters and resumes out to papers outside of England. And I wasn't expecting to hear anything, but I just got a response from a paper in Paris offering me a position. I want--I want to be here, with you Michael, I want to be involved but. There's so much that I can--Gabriel, it's a column offer! I would never get that with the Prophet, not after everything I've done and all the fuss I've made.

I don't know what to do right now. I need your advice. [/Gabriel]

I know that I don't have to explain myself to anyone but you and Michael, but--I guess I just fear that people will view me as a bad mother for making such a big decision.

I'll have to talk with them, but I'm sure that I can handle portkeys over the weekends at the very least. He can learn French and get all the exposure of living in a foreign country without all of the haughtiness that comes with it. He's gonna have more culture in him before the age of two than other kids get in their entire childhood!

Can they be the kitschy, touristy ones of the Eiffel tower??? At least the first three times?

I think it's far past a time to worry about what people think of you us.

He will! He will be bilingual, and maybe even trilingual because there's no reason to simply stick to French. And yes. Touristy gifts are welcome.

Naturally. And he'll pick them up in great time and--yes. Brilliant, I'll be sure to not make them all touristy...the cleverness of gifts will increase over time.
