MIKA HASEGAWA
Mika has no real recollection of her biological family. If you ask her, she'll faintly remember being in an orphanage, but she rarely speaks of those times. Instead, Mika believes that her life started at age five, when she was adopted by Yori Hasegawa. Yori was a widowed man, who'd adopted with his wife prior to Mika. His wife had been an orphan herself and hoped to create a full household. Their dream was short lived when Kaori was killed in a car accident. In hopes of continuing on with her wishes, Mika was the second child out of three to enter the Hasegawa household.
Mika grew up as a fresh flower out of the three siblings, her sister (named Izumi) being studious and quiet, and her brother (named Jun) cold and bitter. Mika became the glue that held them together due to her sweet and gentle personality. Her character helped her well once she became enrolled in private school. She became a part of the student council, despite often being forced to take remedial classes for sleeping in class.
When the outbreak began, Mika was on holiday with her brother and father. Her sister, Izumi, was studying in a university abroad. Since Tokyo was called safe early, Mika and her family moved there. The community throughout the world helped her family get through the trauma and gave Mika the Shin family, a group of siblings she felt had grown into her own. She became romantically involved with Jung-Su Shin, and traveled from Korea to Japan constantly....
