[has an enormous stack of math books set out on the library table, waiting for the little prodigy to show up. also grabbed some advanced literary books for him, as well as a few good fiction novels! because the imagination needs to be nourished as well. doesn't expect him to read everything, but rather go through at random and pick what seems to appeal to him. still isn't sure, but likes to give options. also got him this and this, because after school snacks are a must for a growing brain! now where is that tasty brain hiding.]

Have you tried any other types?

Every time I buy dango I give the first two away to the kids who are looking at them but don't have the money... and then I'm left with the green one.

You are very nice to everyone. You should have more friends.

You're very nice to everyone, too. But sometimes what people should get, they don't. But it's always good to keep your soul guilt-free about life. Be kind to everyone, but don't let them walk all over you. It's a balance.

It will be something I will have to learn but I will try.

I'm sure you will. I think you could probably do anything if you set your mind to it. You seem like that type of person.

Once I get over one hurdle, it should pan out. I will need to get over that first which will take time. Thank you for your guidance. It is truly appreciated.

You don't need to thank me. [picks up another of the math books, handing it to him.] Just keep learning.

I will. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I was not. [looks at the book.] Can you explain this problem for me?

Yeah. It's [blahblahblah.] This is advanced, even for me... it's hard to understand. These sorts of problems are tricky, because you can't always notice if you made a mistake until you're almost done, and it doesn't add up.

I find that frustrating. If you take the time to solve it and then you have one part of the equation out of place, then you have to start again. I do not think I will take a career that resolves around a mathematic background. [still doesn't know what he wants to do since he hasn't had the time to decide after being moved forth.]

Maths are complicated, I agree. No matter how good you are at it, it'll still always get the better of you. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing, but it would be constantly humbling. Keep you from getting too much of an ego.

But it would seem like you are constantly chasing something that you couldn't achieve. That potentially could lead a person to depression and then death.

The talent. Most of them also had a stable partner at one point in time who wanted to know them and they still went crazy. A powerful mind was not working in their favor.
