He can see the scrambling, and attempts to not do anything stupid - lest she catch on to his earlier gambit... while taking the most risky and aggressive moves within accepted chess philosophy to keep her thinking outside her box.
For the moment, he's not getting cocky. This is best of three, not one, and her former domination is keeping him humble and focused, even as he takes her queen.
