He lets her sort of swim in that feeling for a little bit - something she didn't do perfectly on the first try. And, she'll find... he's totally fine with letting her practice, and practice, and practice all she likes to develop that knack.
That's for later though. Right now, he just stands, steadying himself - finding he doesn't need to catch his breath once he thinks about it for a second or two - and stroking her hair, like a simple reward for doing well, positive physical feedback, yes, but definitely designed to reinforce their respective roles.
