All I Want For Christmas.
People who tended only to see Tess when she was all-business often said she needed more hobbies. Generally, they had never seen her engaging in artsy-craftsy things. Exhibit A: Her gingerbread houses -- or, in fact, gingerbread brownstones.

She brought one to Steven's room with a grin.

He hands over two things. One is a 12 days of Christmas calendar, with sliding doors, and 12 strips of paper. "You're going to fill these out with things you'd like to celebrate the countdown... I'll mix them up, and put one behind each door. Whatever you draw each day will happen, either that day, or you can save them up. I didn't quite get the idea in time for the whole advent calendar, but its something. To make up for it... I got a couple other little presents, if you want them now." he replies with a grin, drawing a card and a couple packages out of a drawer.

He lets her take them. The card he was working on is reasonably festive, with the front reading, 'All I want for Christmas is...', with the inside giving her a short, numbered list, all blank currently. The intent there is obvious.
Within the packages... one is technically for him, but why he'd let her open it becomes obvious... a pair of 'Christmassy' boxers, red satin, with a design of mistletoe right over the fly.
The other packages contain a little 'Santa's Helper' hat, with a note suggesting that this is more or less the entirety of her Christmas outfit, and a set of red and green fuzzy handcuffs.
