Dislikes: Seafood, fighting, confrontation, bottled water, swimming, parties, early mornings, shows like Gossip Girl, rap music, dresses, doing laundry, Slipknot, jewelry, stress, taxis, having nothing to do, ‘happy ending’ massages, action movies, coffee, windy days, bullies, dark alleyways, and English classes, because usually you have to give presentations.

Sample Post:

First Person

I finally got a new cellphone today! I’m so behind on the times, it’s a bit embarrassing. The salesman was kind enough to explain to me all the features (they can take videos now, it’s pretty amazing) and how to navigate through all the buttons. He must have thought that I’d lived under a rock, he kept looking at me so oddly. But you know what they say. Better to be a fool for five minutes by asking questions than to remain a fool forever by keeping quiet.

The salesman even threw in a cute cellphone charm too since he said I seemed like the type of girl who would appreciate it. It’s the same shade of purple as the cellphone, and has about three beads. It’s really pretty, and I couldn’t thank him enough, and no matter how many times I gave him money to pay for it, he wouldn’t accept it. He was really nice. Would it be weird to go back tomorrow and give him a gift in return? He did say he liked sweets, and it’s been a while since I baked. Besides, I probably made him miss his lunch break since he was helping me for so long…

I’ll go back tomorrow then, and hopefully it won’t be too odd.

Which reminds me, I should probably make a list of things to do tomorrow. It seems like no matter how much I do in a day I still have enough errands to last a week. It’s nice though, keeping busy and doing everything on my own for a change, even though something as simple as a trip to get a new cellphone took all day. Father always said I did everything too slow, compared to how quickly Hanabi and Neji picked things up, but I’m starting to find that I have my own pace, and even if it’s not as grand as theirs, it’s comfortable and it works for me. Hopefully I’ll get to where I’m going in my own time. It’s a lot less stressful that way.

[OOC: I’m aware there are no stutters, but who types like that?]

Third Person

Hinata kneaded her client’s back carefully, making sure to spread the massage oil evenly, the smell of pine assailing her senses.

It was quiet in the room except for the sound of the client’s breathing, the soft classical music playing in the background, and the soft ticking of the clock that faced a client’s feet so that they could, for a short session, forget about time and just relax. And the room, done in hues of relaxing blues and whites, coupled with the comfortably padded blue table costumers rested on, had helped lull more than one person to sleep. Not that Hinata minded, and in fact took it as a compliment.

These people had some of the most physically grueling jobs, and it was Hinata’s duty to make sure that their bodies were taken care of so that they could continue. If she managed to make them relaxed enough that they could fall asleep, she was doing her job right. While at first she had flushed horribly whenever a man had come in to get a massage, she was slowly getting over it. People were people, and even men had aches and pains that could be soothed by her hands. Hands, that her teacher had praised her, had a healing touch. It was one of the few compliments her teacher had given out, and Hinata had been pleased to receive it, and worked all the harder to make sure her teacher wouldn’t ever regret saying something so kind to her. Bodies were bodies, all made up of the same muscles, tissues, cells, and bones, so it shouldn’t matter to a good massage therapist if they were male or female. They were in need of maintenance and she could help.

Her watch chirped cheerfully, marking the end of the session, and Hinata smiled a bit ruefully. Well, help for as long as they paid. As much as she would like to, she couldn’t afford to take on charity cases. At least, not while she was here at the spa.

“Excuse me,” Hinata started, shaking his shoulder gently to wake him, “this session is-.”

“How much for more?” The man asked gruffly, face still buried in the cushions, and Hinata was surprised by how alert he sounded. Maybe he hadn’t been sleeping at all…

“I-I’m sorry, but I’m already booked for today. You can make an appointment for-.” But the man was sitting up, eyeing Hinata critically. Then as if deciding something he smirked at her.

“How much do you charge for a little extra?” He asked, and Hinata could only look at him in confusion, still a bit confused as to what he was asking for. They had already had a pretty long session, and she had to get ready for the next booking. She really couldn’t give him any extra time. “You know, a happy ending?” He stated, slowly, and in a tone of voice that automatically seemed to assume that the person the statement was directed had mental deficiencies.

A happy ending…? Like a fairy tale? He wanted her to tell him a story?

“I… I don’t think I know any fairy tales off the top of my head.” Hinata said, apologetically, a bit nervous under the intense scrutiny of the man’s gaze, and for a moment the man looked like he was about to get angry. But to her relief, he just laughed and got dressed. He paused at the door, giving her one last look, shaking his head, and chuckled as he left.

Hinata stood there for a moment, dumbstruck, wondering just what was so funny. Maybe she should ask one of her cousins what he meant. They were savvier with sayings than she was, though they were trying to teach her.

[Sorry about all the comment fail, gah.]
