I've RPed Tales of Vesperia one on one with friends, and up until about six months ago, I RPed original characters on a forum of about 40 players. I've stalked a lot of LJ RPs though so I have an idea of how they work. :) Character Name: Temari Sabaku Age: 22 Sexuality: Kick Your Ass-sexual! In her personal life, Temari doesn't care if she gets it from a guy or a girl, they just have to not be a total loser. She's okay with either in movies too. So bisexual all around. Role in company: actress PB: I don't know, I've never had to use one for a canon character before. My first choice is Elisha Cuthbert but Adrianna Palicki is in second. Any suggestions? Background History: Temari was always something of a wild child. As a toddler and small child, she was actually very tame...until her mother died. She was only five at the time and didn't understand it. Her father brushed it off, saying that mommy was never coming back, and left his eldest daughter to fend for herself after that. Full of confusion, fear, and anger, Temari learned to lash out to get attention. She knew that mommy wasn't coming back, and that she had another younger brother that she never got to see, but she didn't really understand these things. For the most part, she was "raised" by her father, but what actual raising he did was negligible. He made sure that the children were fed and clothed, but such duties usually fell to a hired nanny. Very rarely did he take them anywhere, and while he wasn't specifically cold to her, her father was rarely there for her, especially when she really felt she needed him. Growing up, Temari had really no female influences in her life, at least outside of school. She had her brother Kankurou and her father. On occasion she saw her uncle Yashamaru, but even he wasn't there very often. By the time she was old enough to realize what it meant to die, and why her mother had died, the damage was already done. She was a rebellious teenager at that point, getting into trouble at school constantly for beating up the boys. However, even though she had quite the record, her grades were actually very good, and she participated in after school activities. Teachers were confused and often wrote such remarks on her report cards, citing that she was a good student with a bad attitude. It was perplexing for school officials as they were so used to seeing trouble children lash out like her, and suffer in all departments, but she only seemed to pick fights all the time, otherwise acting as a rather good student, and it was for this reason alone that she managed to not get suspended. Temari never disliked school, she just disliked authority, although there were a few teachers that she got along well with and didn't give any trouble. She became known around her high school as the only girl who could wear a skirt and kick your ass at the same time. The attitude kept up even when she moved out of the house and into her college dorm. Most of her expenses were handled on her own. She didn't really want her father's money, and he wasn't about to give it to her anyway. Some of what she used was from a part-time job during high school, and the rest came from scholarships that she was more than qualified for when it came to grades. She actually did rather well in most of her classes. College also helped her calm down a little bit. While she maintained her badass demeanor, the control she had over her own life finally made her feel a little more at ease, and she easily made friends, give that she wasn't beating people up all the time. Choosing a major was difficult for her; she had found that there were a lot of options open to her, but Temari knew that she could never live with being just another person working day in and day out. She wanted to be wealthy. At the same time, she understood that while aiming for celebrity, as would be fitting of her talents as an actress, that getting a job in acting was more about luck and less about what you did with your college career. In the end, she decided that with her smarts, Electrical Engineering was feasible, and only set her up to be making a good chunk of change once she got a job. Of course she never gave up the hope that she would make it big and become the next new starlet, and even took on a Theatre minor so that she could still participate in that while on campus. She attended auditions for movies and commercials, and even managed to score a minor part or two. But then came that audition, at the end of her senior year. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Temari had never thought of herself as doing something like porn. Like many rebellious girls, she had taken the occasional lewd photo of herself, to show boyfriends or just for the thrill of it, and she had posed nude for the Life Drawing class just for the money once, so it wasn't strange to her to show off her body like that. But the idea of sex for money, on a camera, was something that she knew she should find offensive and disgusting, and yet the idea sort of tickled her a little bit. She decided, eventually, that going to the audition wasn't going to hurt. If she found herself uncomfortable with the situation, she would just back out, simple as that. She had pride, but by then she wasn't haughty enough that she would let herself be put in a bad situation for the sake of it. If worse came to worst, she could kick some ass. Not only did she ace the audition, but she found that she actually kind of liked it, starting Temari's career at Feel Good, Inc. on a high note. Having graduated college, she still has high aspirations, but for the time being, it's making her a nice little living. Personality, Likes & Dislikes: Temari can be summed up rather easily: cold, hard bitch. Actually, that's somewhat misleading. Temari isn't entirely heartless, but everyone who knows her would describe her as stern and heartless most of the time. She's very intelligent, and won't hesitate to hold it over your head. She's also very honest and blunt, and if she thinks you're an idiot, she'll tell you. At the same time, she respects others who have high intelligence and strength. She doesn't like it when people are better than her and don't hesitate to show it, but at the same time, she secretly has a deep respect for those kind of people. She's not spoiled, but she doesn't take no for an answer easily. This is because she believes that all her demands are reasonable and usually in everyone else's best interests. She's a natural born leader, and can't stand being second. She always strives to be the best at everything she does, and often achieves her goals, no matter how long it takes or how much work she needs to put into it. She's diligent and driven, but usually sets reasonable goals for herself. She doesn't try to achieve more than is humanly possible, but at the same time, strives for perfection, or as much of it as she can get. Temari isn't particularly an exhibitionist, but she likes being in the spotlight and getting attention for her achievements. She craves recognition in general, and when she doesn't get it, she can become very grumpy. It's the reason she loves acting so much, for the applause of an audience to let her know that she did well. It helps her materialize that level of perfection she always strives for. Very secretly, deep down, Temari really cares about her brothers. She hates her father, but loves her siblings, even if she doesn't admit it. She's a little closer to her middle brother than her youngest, but she would still to anything to make sure that they are both safe. She's not very good at showing affection, and there aren't really many other people who have earned that sort of status with her, but sometimes that bitchy mask she keeps up manages to give way a little to that soft part of her. In general, though, she's not unsociable. While she may be rough around the edges, she can still be tolerable enough to make friends, if you can stand her sarcasm, and is actually fairly good with people, when she's trying to be or when she wants to be. It's just that she often doesn't care to. But she is still somewhat approachable, if you can get past the fact that she can probably beat you up and probably will if you piss her off. Temari has several hobbies, even outside of school and the theatre. For one, she likes to collect antique Asian folding fans and has quite the growing collection of them in her apartment. They line her walls in lieu of art. She also rather enjoys plants and tending to them, so she also has a few small houseplants laying around, although the space doesn't allow her to have much more than that. She also has a penchant for beating up boys and enjoys going to the gym to work out, which is how she keeps her figure up. She dislikes weakness and people who whine. She tends to think that most people who feel the need to rely on others all the time are a waste of time and space. She abhors laziness and sloth, and can't understand people who don't even try. She especially dislikes people who make unreasonable demands of her or try to push her around without any reason. She's not entirely sure what to think of her job at the company. On the one hand, she understands that a lot of people really look down on the idea of working in the porn industry. On the other hand, when she's actually doing it, it's not nearly as glamorous or entertaining as one might think, and it doesn't really bother her much at all. She is, however, very careful to not publish her full real name anywhere, lest it ruin her chances of getting a break somewhere else. She doesn't plan on making it a life-long career and it's decidedly just a temporary thing until she finds what she really wants to do. No, really, the next guy at the club who tries to tell me he's so hard it hurts really is going to be hurting. Who actually says things like that? Listen, guys, those cheesy pick up lines only work on me when I'm on set, and that's only because it's in the script for me to do so. If I wanted to fuck you, I would have done it already. Men. What pigs. And so weak! One kick and they go right down. At least last night wasn't completely lost. I found a nice ice cream place with the most amazing strawberry ice cream there, and that's saying something. Most of the ice cream places in this this godforsaken region of the country are shitholes or way too pricey for ice cream, from what I can tell. I don't need designer food and that all-natural bit is bullshit. So I'll be frequenting this new place often. You people are all so boring that the highlight of my day is an ice cream shop! Third Person Could today get any worse? Temari was sure that there was no way possible that it could, which only meant that it would. It had started with her alarm clock failing to go off that morning, and for the first time she was actually thankful that some of her idiotic friends saw fit to call her at 6:30AM when she was normally getting ready for her day. That had just been the start of it. It wasn't like she hadn't been late before, and she managed to get ready quickly. Thankfully when you were going to strip anyway, dressing up nice wasn't always a prerequisite, although she did her best to present a professional image off-set. Not today, though. She would just have to deal with it, and it was better than being late. But then her car just had to break down. It only figured that it would fail to start, the piece of crap that it was, and then she would just have to wait for someone else to come pick her up. Given that she was already running a little bit late, it was a wonder that she was able to get a hold of one of the camera men who agreed to swing by her place. Of course, it had to be one of the many people in the company that she absolutely could not stand, and even worse, she had to bite her tongue as he talked her ear off about her and how good she was in films and how wonderful she was to work with and a whole bunch of other compliments that, to Temari, were shallow and over-used. Despite the fact that she rarely had trouble telling people off, even she knew that you didn't cuss out the person who was giving you a ride. Once in the parking lot, however, she didn't hesitate to give him a piece of her mind. The dejected look on his face was actually very comforting, and put a little bounce in her step as she walked in, greeting the receptionist on the way to the back of the building. At least she knew she still had it in her. She'd have to find someone else to drive her home, but that wouldn't be very difficult at all, now that she was actually here and finally on time. "Oh, Temari you're here…early." One of many employees who Temari had no idea what their job was or what their true purpose was, since they always seemed to be doing something different, greeted her as they passed in the halls. She stopped and turned, looking rather unamused at the idea that she was early. "What do you mean, early?" "You're not scheduled to actually do anything today until noon, didn't you get the phone call?" Twitch. No, she hadn't gotten any phone calls, because when she pulled her phone from her pocket, she found that it had rather abruptly died on her, despite having seemed to still have a charge when she left the house. "Fine then. But it's not professional to be late to work." The other woman shrugged and went about her business, leaving Temari to fume in peace, and attack at a donut she found still present in the cafeteria. She was going to find it rather difficult to play the rape victim she was supposed to be playing when they actually got to filming if all she wanted to do was punch the guy in the face, and she knew that she was fully capable of doing it, too. It was going to be very difficult indeed, but as she calmed down a little, she started to think of ways to let off steam. There was no way that she was going to let her morning get the best of her and make the rest of her work sloppy. Naturally, then, she'd just have to find a poor, unsuspecting fluffer to take it out on. She smiled to herself at the thought. They did provide such excellent stress relief. I can't go back and edit/delete it now, but a friend recommended some more PBs to me and I think I'm going to use Taylor Swift instead, because I used her for an OC before and have a lot of icons left over from that. Sorry for the confusion! Also I didn't think before but if you want a LJ to PM me on, fatal_sorcerer is an RP journal of mine that I use now for looking at communities too.
