Personality, Likes & Dislikes: You want drugs? You want someone dead? You want someone tied up and waiting for you in your basement when you come home? Pein is the kind of man who can get anyone anything if the price is right. He likes to test the limits of the two beliefs he believes are absolute. The first is that everyone has a price. The more willing someone is to embrace this fact, the more respect Pein would have for them. His lack of ethics can make him somewhat dangerous if someone was to get on his bad side. He has no qualms about using things he finds (such as on the video cameras) for blackmail for his amusement. And has no problem using himself or his money to get him what he wants.

His second belief is that pain is the only true path to peace and happiness. It isn’t until someone drags themselves out of the dark hole of despair that they can truly appreciate what life has. He has no problems trying to knock someone down to that level to prove his point.

There are really two personalities for Pein, the business personality and the casual personality (which is much less seen of the two). At work he is rather cold and calculating, especially when he’s bored. He’s not the type to say much about himself, ever, so it might take some work for anyone to realize he’s like an illegal supply store, although he does frequently disappear from his post if someone is around to make hushed phone calls.

He’s constantly searching for entertainment without looking amused when he finds it. And he’ll put up with a lot to be amused. He’s got thick skin and it will take a lot for someone to get under it, but that being said, there’s a fine line between appropriate banter and insults, do not cross that line or someone will be banging on your door at three in the morning with a baseball bat.

Outside of work (as if such a thing existed), he’s much more relaxed, but it might be going too far to call him friendly. He doesn’t mind tossing back a few drinks or smoking a few joints with trusted company, at which point he might even tell a joke or two. Might. He’ll at least smirk at a funny story.

He likes all the bad stuff in life, and he likes his ‘family’.

He dislikes people who ask about his piercings, try to touch his piercings, or tell him to take his piercings out. He dislikes rude people and hates people who interrupt him when he’s speaking or interrupt someone else when they’re speaking. He doesn’t like country music, they whine too much. If they want real problems, he can give them some.

Sample Post:

First Person
Private

I’ve given up the last part of me that connects those people and me together. I suppose it’s only fitting. The Yahiko they knew died that day with them. Perhaps I should have a burial ceremony, place his non-existent body in a grave next to theirs. I wonder if I can remember what unnamed post they were buried under. I should have visited their graves more than once. Not that it matters. They’re only decrepit remains. Tears do not bring back the dead; they only drown those who are still alive.

Pein. Its rather fitting I think. I wonder if they would have approved of the name.

It’s raining today. Somehow I thought I could escape the rain in Nevada. Its looks like that’s not the case. It must be just as sad of a place as New York.

/Private

I came across some rather compromising interesting images on surveillance last night around three in the morning. I will be here until five today, you can come find me or the video tapes will be relinquished to the proper authorities.

I do not accept checks, and I prefer not to take credit cards. Keep that in mind before coming to see me.

Third Person
Cell phones. Small distracting bits of technology. The bane of his existence. Who ever thought it was a good idea to create a device that could be carried on your person so someone could contact you at any moment at anywhere? No long does the excuse of ‘I was away from my desk, or not at home’ work. If they weren’t dead, Pein was going to put it on his list of people to kill. Perhaps that would be the occasion where he finally got his Prince Albert. Yes, penis head, you are being saved for the man that created cell phones.

Or perhaps for the man that created texts. At least with cell phones he could claim that it was not an appropriate time. But with texts there were no excuses. It was simple enough to smash some keys and press the send button. Which meant he was at the beck and call of his boss. And he definitely didn’t give a shit if Pein was at work, especially since he thought that Pein working for such a meager wage was an entire waste of time. His main job was, and always would be, for the mafia. Maybe he’d save the Prince Albert for that man instead.
