She had no trouble getting into the college of her choice, and it was in college where she would really learn to focus her energy into something more productive. It was there that she learned the wonderful world of activism. Political, social, you name it, she was there. It not only helped her focus her aggression, but she took a lot out of it-- knowledge, people skills, the whole nine yards. Her good grades persisted, and she managed to win several scholarships, enough to sail her through school with no financial assistance from her father, and what little she didn't receive in scholarships and financial aid, she made up for with a part time job at an adult movie store.

The adult movie store was quite the experience for her. She wasn't exactly a virgin when she started working there, but talking with her coworkers revealed that, for all her rebelling and wild actions, she was rather vanilla in the sexuality department. She was thusly properly educated on such things. Even that sort of information she absorbed, like a sponge, never hesitant to learn something new. You never knew what information might come in handy. Come in handy someday it would.

Despite her interest in campus politics, though, Temari knew that it wasn't the sort of thing she wanted to do for a career. She had higher aims. She was smart, and she knew it. She could get any job she wanted, and she knew she could be successful at it. She was confident in her charisma and the people skills she had developed and honed through her activism. She wanted to be big, she wanted to be famous. She had tried theatre in high school, so it only made sense to her to aim for the stars now.

Her father passed away during her senior year of college. Temari didn't cry, she was too much of a big girl for that and had never been close enough to her father to care. She didn't hate him, though, and she knew she'd miss him, at least in the back of her mind. It was tragic, but in a way, it made her feel a little more free, like she didn't have any more outrageously high expectations to live up to. She'd always done well for her own sake, but it had always bothered her that he might derive some sort of pride out of her achievements. That would no longer be so. She moved on quickly.

There was one little problem. Right out of college, there was really very little available to her. It wasn't that she didn't manage to drum up interest, but she never had quite what it took. Her inexperience shone through, and it frustrated her to no end. There was no way that she was going to spend the rest of her life working at the porn store-- however, it did provide an opportunity. It was only at the store that she noticed the advertisement for Feel Good Inc., a local place or something that was hiring. She was sure she'd seen some of their fine "movies", and it wasn't like she hadn't filmed a thing or two with the boyfriends she'd had later on in college. It was really on a whim that she thought she might try it out.

She didn't think she'd actually get the job, and actually end up working at Feel Good Inc., but with what she's getting paid, she'll take it until something better comes along.

Personality, Likes & Dislikes: With a no-nonsense attitude, Temari’s not the kind of girl you get along with easily, but once you manage to win her over, she is an invaluable asset and a wonderful friend. She is feisty, bossy, a bit coarse and unrefined at times, and shows no mercy. She speaks her mind and isn't afraid to deliver what can sometimes be a startlingly accurate observation on the truth of the matter. Demanding as she is brutal, she does not accept weakness, and she can also be highly insulting; she's no stranger to wantonly throwing out taunts and teases, and even her brothers and friends are subjected to it.

However, while she might not seem like a shining example of a good friend and sister, her violent moments and times of indiscretion can and do give way to a lighter side. She's not completely uncaring, but rather, she had difficulty showing things like concern and affection, because of the way she was brought up. Even though she knows better, she subconsciously feels as though love and affection are weaknesses and tries to hide them whenever possible. Not only that, but when she does manage to show affection, it might not be in the form you'd expect. Part of the way she 'cares' is through that straightforwardness, by giving straight criticism. In wanting to better someone, she's really trying to say that she's concerned for them and their situation. She does not use the word love outside of sarcasm, but it obvious that she is capable of feeling such emotions and everything that comes with them. Those lucky enough to be considered part of the small group she cares about might find a softer, although still stern, tone and a gentler touch. It’s not the most obvious of things, subtle at best, but it’s a noticeable contrast whenever it crops up.

Temari also has a lot of pride, in the things she does and the way she composes herself, but she's not a stick in the mud by any chance. She can have a bit of a wild side, but manages to keep it refined none the less. It's a talent of hers, and her ability to remain refined in less-than-ladylike situations (yes, even when she's getting it from behind, on camera) is something that distinguishes her from the rest.

She is dedicated not only to the people around her, but to the work she does, and gets the job done, no matter what that job is. Strangely enough, despite her somewhat violent ways, she's overall an advocate for peace. Fighting doesn't actually suit her, even if she'll do it (and win) when she needs to. And while she is not a particularly vengeful person, she is intelligent and calculating, but she can also throw a mean punch-- she's not the kind of girl you want to piss off.

When it comes to her brothers, she likes to tease them and doesn't really let up on them, but she definitely cares about them, even Gaara. Especially Gaara. In her adulthood, she's come to a more rational, mature reaction to his birth and her mother's subsequent death, and has decided that if she had to lose her mother to get him, she's going to damn well treasure him. He's a little old for the spoiling rotten, but she covertly tries to be a little nicer to him when she can get away with it.

Her hobbies include tending plants, just a little something she managed to pick up along the way, and collecting antique folding fans, expanding on the collections that she inherited from her mother-- or rather, saved from her father's wrath when he purged the house of a lot of their mother's things. She treasures them more than anything, and keeps some set up decoratively on the walls in her apartment.

Sample Post:

First Person Get me out of this place! I didn't think it was possible for a city to be this absolutely and utterly boring! There's so many places here, and all of them are just as bland as the next! Give me excitement, give me fun. Or at least a halfway decent nightclub. Really, is it asking too much?

I'm gonna go crazy here. And of course, it's just my luck that everything has to be so far away. Vegas, San Francisco, any place that actually might be worth going to? Completely and utterly out of reach. Someone remind me why I thought moving to the middle of the desert would actually resemble some sort of intelligent idea.

Even work is boring. Whoever though Soft Sensual Sorority Sisters II was my kind of bit needs to be smacked. Since when did we even do soft and sensual? Come on, writers, write something interesting for once. I know engaging might be a little out of your skill set and isn't exactly the sort of things our customers are looking for, but…Soft Sensual Sorority Sisters? Throw us a bone here, give us something at least somewhat mentally engaging.

Kankurou, you, me, bar tonight. It's a Friday night, I need to do something, and all my girlfriends are busy, so you're coming with me. No excuses. I know you don't have any real plans since you don't have any real friends or and real girlfriends, just inflatable ones. I'm sure they won't mind sitting in the box under the bed for another night.

Third Person

There was a pause. Temari didn't like hesitation, and glanced over her shoulder with an annoyed scowl.

"What?" she demanded, not even needing to express the part of her tone that implied that there had better be a damned good reason for the interruption.

"Are you sure we can't film it?"

She'd picked this guy up at the bar, after he'd recognized her from one of her movies. She normally didn't do things like that, but the nice thing about porn was that there wasn't just one demographic of viewers. Men watched it, women watched it-- people of all ages, colors, shapes and sizes watched it. Of course, there was a little less variety in the type of people who would actually admit to having seen you in a porno flick, but that was more or less a grab bag, and sometimes, if you played your cards right, you could get lucky.

Temari had thought she was lucky with this one. He was the charismatic charmer type, not worried about what you thought of him watching porn, because everything he'd say afterwards would have you head over heels. He had the moves, he had the looks, and furthermore, he had the brains, as Temari found out over a glass of wine and a long discussion on sociopolitical news. That's what had won him the ticket back to her place, and the fact that he didn't seem so damned focused on getting some. He just wanted a companion...she could appreciate that, in a way.

Except that he seemed to have made the mistake of casually asking if they could capture the whole thing on video, and she'd nearly sent him back out from whence he came right then and there, but decided to sternly correct him, explaining in a terse tone that work was work and this was not. Filming it seemed too much like she was actually on a set, and would make things just that much less fun for everyone. He seemed to take the hint.

Now she was nude, lying on her stomach on the bed, while kneeled behind her, gripping at her hips. She'd seen to it personally that he was more than ready, before the clothes even started coming off, so he had to be aching for it by then...so why didn't he just get on with it?

"No," she replied firmly, hoping that it would be the end of it.

It wasn't. "But why?"

She sighed, already exasperated with the situation. Was no really so hard to process? Really? "Are you going to pay me for it? No? Then we're not filming anything, now just get on with it."

"But I want something to remembe--"

"Move it."

He muttered under his breath-- which she chose to ignored-- but actually finally continued on. For the most part, Temari was no longer in the mood, but didn't tell him to stop. She was too stubborn, and she was determined to see this through to the end now, now that she'd had to fight so hard to get there. She would have liked to say that it was the most uneventful sex of her life, but given her career lately, that was a difficult moniker to live up to. Still, it definitely came close.

Lots of grunting and half-hearted moans later, the pair were getting dressed again, Temari in her pajamas after a quick shower, and him in his clothes. There was no cuddling, no prospect of waking up in the morning. Thankfully. When she was sure that he had everything, because she didn't want any turn backs, she escorted him swiftly to the door, and stood there expectantly as he hesitated on the threshold. She didn't say goodbye or wish him a goodnight. Instead, she just stared.

"You know, I really wish you'd have let me film i--"

"Go!" But he didn't have much choice. The door slammed in his face, and Temari stalked off to seek refuge in a half-pint of ice cream and bad night time television.
