How thoughtful of my dear brother to procure a wizard of proper quality to escort me to the ball. Imagine what could have transpired if I had arrived stag or missed the gala altogether. Pity that we will never know.

Indeed. Pity there are so few noble houses that remain. I would have rather liked to see a duel challenged in my name.

I am certain Gabriel could discover the truth on his own before the ball. Ravenclaws are so thorough and resourceful.

Time is such a silly thing. Arrive when you may and we shall see how far along I am. Do try to avoid my father's bride. She has an annoying tendency to beguile attractive guests.
