sing, goddess, the rage of achilles...
i would like to start by saying that [info]luvotomy is awesome. end of story. <3

what have i been doing lately...? eh. i've sorta been taking a break from persona 3. i'm nearing the end and i want to regain my previous ridiculous amount of excitement before i finish it.

school started today as well. i had two of four classes today -- native americans and western civilization 2. both were pretty good. western civ makes me a little nervous, but i trust that i can do well enough. the specific professor was recommended to me by a number of people who would have no reason to lead me astray.

it'll be quite a workload, though. for my four classes -- native americans, western civ 2, classical mythology, and world masterpieces -- i need to buy 21 books. the good news is that i have little or no desire to leave my bedroom during the evenings, as i would like to keep interaction with my parents to a minimum. i'll have plenty of time to read all my books and do all my schoolwork while i'm hiding away in my bedroom, being inconspicuous.

it's also looking, so far at least, as if i will have but two major projects. the one for classical mythology should be easy enough, and the one for native americans is a group project... so hopefully i will do well.
speaking of classical mythology, i'm kind of disappointed. i haven't even had it yet, but... it's a fucking hybrid class. i spent three semesters waiting to get into a damn hybrid class. that, for anyone unfamiliar, means that the classwork is "supplemented" with online shit. that also means that all of my tests and likely all of my assignments must be done online.

it also forces me to socialize with my classmates -- something i generally prefer to avoid. i'm required, in addition to all that, to reply at least twice to every discussion topic posted on the class message board. personally, i see it as a grand waste of time. it will take me about seven times longer to say anything on that message board compared to just saying it in a class discussion.
oh, and the program thinger monitors whether or not we read all the posts, and how quickly we read them. yea. not only do i have to make two replies, I HAVE TO READ EVERY THING MY CLASSMATES SAY. isn't that a bit excessive?? -_-

i really hope the class will be worth all that crap.

in other news, i'm also finally getting paid for driving my pathetic brother around all the time. although $20 for a week of driving isn't really fair or worth it... eh. it's more worth it than it was with no money, i guess.
