1. He'd have hit on her as well, but the link with his sister was unusual enough that, even after it ended, he gave her some space - so Dawn surprised everyone, herself especially, by asking him out first.
2. She blames the drinks, but whatever it was, she found herself more comfortable than usual expressing herself, after a while.
3. He typically didn't grasp the human perspective, she usually didn't get the Asgardian one, but agreeing to respect different viewpoints was easy, especially while they were having fun.
4. Also surprising her, when things began to get heavier, perhaps the drinks, unquestionably some attraction, he did pause things to acknowledge, as she well knew, it would never become more than physical (though that was always available).
After that, the only thing known is no one saw either til the next morning. They may have slept together, they may have spent the night watching stars. Neither is talking.
5. When Dawn went on to get together with Griffen, Halbjorn was the first to toast the couple.
