Dear Sir:

Word has come to my attention that you are now a paramour for my niece.

I am not sure if you are aware of how difficult she can be, and I therefore feel the need to warn you that you should turn back now, right now, if you have the opportunity.

It isn't that I don't love her, of course, or have her best interests at heart; it is simply that I fear for your well-being. Regardless of whatever methods you feel you possess in order to deal with her, allow me to assure you, you do not. She was a headstrong young girl and she is a wily teenager who is unaware of her own powers to drive people up a wall.

I've always envisioned the sort of man for her to be one in an arranged marriage, personally, someone who is cowed enough to enter one so they don't bat an eyelash for when she starts issuing orders. Those who have a shred of freewill will probably not prosper well with her. Although, in her defense, I don't believe she is fully aware of this trait of hers. It isn't really her fault, her mother was insufferable. She's certainly a much more pleasant version of that.

Congratulations. I wish you many long years of peaceful co-existence. Should you damage her in any way, I shall happily blacken your name and abuse my knowledge of Magical Law as retribution.

Perhaps a family dinner is in order, as I know she sees very little of hers and it would be a delight to meet you.
