Alternate Future: 'Cause every night, who's in your bed?
Amiko hadn't been there when it happened. But in her nightmares, she sees it all so clearly. The poisoned knife. Her Lady-Mother in agony... and what had to be done to end that agony.

She awakes in tears, cursing the cruelty of the Hand.

And realizes where she is, whose arms are around her.

"You are NOT cursed," he says firmly. "For a long time I was the cursed one. I was trapped in a cycle of lies with no life of my own. You freed me from that. You were my savior." He gives her a gentle kiss on the lips before looking her back in the eye. "I worry for you as well. Everytime I hear of something going on in Japan I wonder if you are all right. I have to fight the urge to abandon my duties and seek you out despite how formidable I know you to be."

He pauses for a moment.

"As for control..I've been looking into that."

"I've been digging into our oldest archives to the very beginning of our history. I suspect that somewhere down the line the Hand was a much different group and was corrupted down the line into what it is now. I'm looking for proof to present to the lords. Also.." he's reluctant to mention this, but he promised her they'd be honest with each other. "I'm also considering finding a way to ascertain the identity of The Beast, the demon that many in the Hand still worship."

"The Beast is the source of the Hand's corruption. If I can destroy him maybe I can cut off the members who still use dark magic from their source of power. It's just a theory though, I have no evidence that it would work." He gives her a warm smile, a practice he's getting more used to doing. "No..I don't do I? I certinly wouldn't be holding you in my arms right now if I did."

	Keiji gives her a mischevious grin and quickly flipped them over. "I have a better idea. I agree we need to make you forget, but I think we need to focus on what YOU want.
